I love the atmosphere of my area, it is definitely more upmarket than other areas in Greenwich and offers beautiful views of London and the O2. I would say the area is suitable for pets as there are lots of places to walk them by the river and the woodland areas. Also I would say that it's very suitable for children to live here also as there's a lot of services offered for kids nearby.
Transport
North Greenwich tube and bus station is nearby and has reliable connections to central, East and further south of London. The nearest train station is Charlton and the nearest DLR is cutty sark, which also isn't far. There's a lot of cycle paths and walking paths too. There are many buses that are regular and reliable, but it can be a hassle getting to other areas of London such as West London because there aren't any direct connections.
Community
My area is nice and quiet and I have respectful neighbours who are mainly young professionals who are renting their apartments. There doesn't seem to be a lot of antisocial behaviour and the area is kept very clean. Parking, however, is hard to come by and can be very expensive in my area which isn't good for when I have people visit me.
Amenities
There aren't a lot of local shops near me but there is the O2 arena which has a shopping outlet and a variety of restaurants. Also there are a few big retail parks just a stones throw away that have all the supermarkets and high street shops. I have a big IKEA and cinema around the corner from my apartment too. Everything is so close by that I don't need to travel to other areas for anything. There are lots of open spaces around my area where people go to exercise with amazing views of the river Thames and canary wharf, but there's not alot of parks or actual green spaces nearby.

I love seeing the Circus coming from time to time but never had the chant to go as we have a little baby. There should be more activities engaging parents and children as I have the feeling that I'm alone. We don't know our neighbors and we are here from already 2 years and a half. It's a bit sad.
Transport
I can't complain about the transport. We have lots of bus lines and a train station too. I don't really use the train as it's a bit more expensive. I prefer to take the bus and then change with the tube in North Greenwich station.
Community
My street is quiet and clean. I enjoy walking around. The council always keep our street clean. I can't think of anything negative as I love this place even if there are not many shops around.
Amenities
I don't have much near me. There is a local M&S and you can't buy much stuff in it. You need to change 2 buses in one direction to get to a proper supermarket. There is a Chinese restaurant I have never been in. There is a nice looking pub never had the chance to try it too. Basically a few coffee shops where I would go but that's absolutely not enough for the younger generation. Greenwich park is 5 min away by foot but nothing much in it to be honest. Quite boring area but in the same time quiet and clean. I would love to have international shop too. No butcher, no playground for the children. A bit disappointed but still love this area. Blackheath Royal Standard is the one I'm talking about. It nice, squirrels play around, the green parrots fly around as well as the wild ducks. Lots of wild life in here, plus the foxes. Definitely loving this area, just the shops are not too many. I'm hoping there are going to do some changes. More supermarkets around, I like having a choice. We definitely need a playground for the children.

It's not very trendy, some people might view it as not very safe (even though so far no incidents). You can smell weed on the street at times, so people like to have fun indoors I guess. I think the general look of it is rather untidy and not very clean and I don't like kids to wonder around too much. Not a park in less than half a mile either, so more green spaces would be great.
Transport
Plenty of buses, no tube, DLR if you walk a mile to Woolwich (that would be nice to have nearby since it connects to the city easily). Buses seem pretty regular, but there are traffic jams from time to time because there are a lot of parked cars and some places are too narrow.
Community
I'd say it's a mix of both renters and owners. Lots of families with young kids. Not much noise going on, as far as I could hear only one house across the street has had parties so far. I like the fact that it's free parking on our street so we don't need to worry about paying a permit.
Amenities
There are plenty of local small shops like fish and chips and the like, and also a Co op. Not many places that you can sit outside to eat or drink, though. Mostly takeaways of all cuisines.
