I’d rather it had a bit more of social life and more sense of community. I’m a single adult and don’t got in so well with the families. I’d live to have a group of neighbors to invite over for dinner parties

I’ve got two dlr stations 5 minutes walk from me: Cyprus and Gallions Reach, which take me straight into canary wharf in under 25 mins or into canning town under 20 connecting me to central London through the jubilee line. You can also take the dlr straight into bank station. The bus options are so many that you can quickly get to Stratford or come back home from central London in the dead of night in a single bus
Community
The people on my street are mostly families and it’s a quiet area. There not much traffic or antisocial behaviors and the bins seem to always be collected on time.
Amenities
I love living in the Beckton area. It has the right balance between quiet lifestyle, social opportunities and open green spaces, plus such easy access to the City Airport setting the world practically on your doorstep. I have two DLR stations really close by (5 mins walk) that take me straight into canary wharf, where I work, in 25 minutes. Perfect also for fine dining at Roka and a bit of shopping. Close by I have the Thames path foot walk which has become a lifesaver during lockdown for long nice walks close to home and having. During the summer I was able to have a picnic and sunbathe in Beckton park whilst enjoying a glass of bubbles. I can also take my pick of shops with big Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda and Lidl. And they all open till midnight during Covid times or 24 hours during normal times. I am a runner to and having tons of route options around the area is a huge plus, in addition to the Newham sports Centre track and gym. The greenway footpath is also lovely and away from fuming cars taking you straight into the Queen Elizabeth Stadium / West Ham Stadium, Stratford public Olympic pool and Stratford shopping Centre for more shopping, cinema and dinning. The community is also pretty good and you can get a great atmosphere are the local pub

In my street parking are . I have 1 bus that goes every 10-15 mins . This is family owners and renters are livings in this road .

In our area there we can find everything we need from food to all kinds of products for reasonable prices. Especially food is more popular here , South Indian foods mostly which people from far away places comes here to have dine. Other than that a place where feel Home.

The transport links are excellent, you have dlr, underground, overground, bike lanes, national rail as well as coaches and a bus station. However the roads are riddled with potholes that never get fixed.

My street has loads of anti social behavour, gangs of youths congregating outside dealing drugs, the police turning up is a regular occurence. Parking is fine as we have permits. We live close to the dlr so there is the constant noise of ir going past

There isnt enough variety of shops in the area for me. There have been plenty of times when I have been unable to obtain a simple item such as rubbing alcohol, mouse traps, or an air can for cleaning dust. Forcing me to drive somewhere or get it online. However the parks are very good and numerous.
