I like that the area is quiet and there is no antisocial behaviour. The atmosphere is quiet and feel generally safe. The area is suitable for children and pets. In terms of the look of my area I feel it requires a upgrade and have some changes like more parks, redecorating like painting needs to be redone in the local area.
Transport
There are 2 bus stops within walking distance with frequent bus arrivals at busy times. Buses are usually overcrowded and noisy during rush hour. Quiet times are OK but it does get busy quickly especially as elderly amd mothers with prams use it alot. Buses are slow to get to the destinations There is an lack of regular night buses. The DLR is quite good and runs more frequently. You can get to your destination quicker than the bus. It is usually quite clean and reliable too. However, we dont have a underground tube and the nearest is at Canary wharf so have to travel by DLR to Canary wharf and do an interchange to the tube.

The good aspects of living in my street is that there is no antisocial behaviour and it is always quiet due to mainly elderly residents living in the area.

In my area it is tranquil and there are some takeaway and a large Asda supermarket as well as a small Tesco nearby. There is a pub across the road and a primary and secondary school within walking distance. We have a large park nearby for children to play in, it is not a busy area either. The riverside is within walking distance where you can look at the nice views and greet the ducks. There is also the Mudchute Farm where there are animals and a large open green space for picnics. You can walk through the greenwich foot tunnel and get to the other side to Greenwich which is in South east london area. It is a historical place with the markets, museums and the main greenwich park. Another particular local area is Canary Wharf where there are different kinds of retail like clothing, stationary and food as well as bars, restaurants and museums. It is one of the most popular area in Docklands with the famous canary wharf buildings. Public transport are also accessible with buses and the DLR nearby. However, the amenities missing around my area would possibly be more cash machines needed as well as another large supermarket as Asda is the main supermarket in the area and can get very busy. Also more spaces for parking cars as ot is difficult to obtain a space to park. Other than that my neighbourhood is nice and everyone living nearby are usually friendly.

The diversity here is great. The tradition of an old east end community, as well as the business types of Canary wharf. It's always felt safe here, theres lovely green spaces for families, and everything is so accessible. There's been a lot of development and regeneration and plenty of free events.

There's a great variety of transport links - underground, dlr, river boats and buses direct to central london. There's something weekend maintenance closures but it's also walkable to central London within an hour and Greenwich in 20 mins. Plenty of Santander cycle stations too!

It's mostly young families or young couples on my street. Parking is available to residents and there's usually road parking available for visitors . (Avoid the expensive car parks like canary wharf - a 10 minute walk will have road parking). I'm lucky to have a view I er the river! On the down side, there is petty crime such as bike thefts. Otherwise fairly safe

There's a mix of big city vibes to local green gems, from the cluster of Canary Wharf skyscrapers to llamas roaming around mudchute farm! This brings with it a diversity in the people - business types to typical EastEnders, and as a result restaurants range from upmarket to the best local chippies, Asian takeaway and corner cafes. Same with the glitzy bars to classic pubs. Plus being on the Thames offers outstanding views across the river and great walks along the Thames path and canals.
