While I would personally love to move due to health reasons, if I could move to one of the ground floor homes here I would. It is a nice area. The people are kind and caring and the atmosphere is often very enjoyable. The sense of community is strong, with a huge local children’s park having just been built, an outdoor free exercise area, and a huge green perfect for jogging, a game of football with reminds or a nice place to have a picnic in the summer. There are smaller parks on the estate and plenty of parking space.

There is 2 local bus stops that will take you to many different areas and a DLR station within a 10 minute walk. There isn’t anywhere I’ve struggled to get to, and with the closest bus stop bringing me home from the city to 2 minutes from my house on one bus alone, it’s very convenient.
Community
Since the area is a mix of 1,2 and 3 bedroom properties it is mostly families and elderly people who live close by, with many having lived here for many years. The community is an easy one to fall into, with neighbors being friendly and helpful. Jot many of the properties are brought, and there aren’t many students or people that make noise at night so it’s an nice place to live.

In the immediate vicinity there is 3 local grocery shops, so everyday essentials are easy enough to get your hands on, these shops remain open all year round including Xmas day, and during the pandemic, they had tons of extras like pasta and toilet roll, so the locals were never truly without. Within a 5 minute walk, there are bus stops that will take you into the city, into Newham, Hackney, Canary Wharf and Bethnal Green. There are also some more shops, such as a Chinese take away, a kebab take away, 2 chicken shops, a cafe, a dry cleaners, 2 local public houses and a pharmacy and dental practice. There is a GP within a 10 minute walk or 2 more GP’s a 5 minute bus journey away. It is a popular area that’s growing with popularity due to its closeness to the thriving canary wharf that has a busy nightlife, a small shopping mall and plenty of amenities. The only thing missing is closer nightlife.

The quality of shops is excellent with Lidl, Tesco and lots of independent shops in the area. There is a big park in the area as well with lots of kids amenities and open grass spaces for exercise and relaxing. Restaurants are scattered all over the place and many of them are really good with excellent service and food. The regents canal is one of the iconic parts of this area and it runs through the area, eventually linking up with the river Thames. The area also has very good transport links with the tube, C2C, DLR and local buses all within a reasonable distance. This area could be improved by maybe increasing the amount of retail shops and other amenities such as barbers, nail salons etc

There are no buses tubes or overground near my area. We can not travel to upper London without being kicked out of the cycle routes due to bad drivers

Very little traffic noise. Most of my area are house owners couples and families. There are a lot of parking spaces but there are no bin collections.
