Overall me and my family are happy where we live. However we fear for the future. As I mentioned previously, the construction of unaffordable housing being built causes massive social divide. We fear in the next 10 years we will be pushed out of the area we've lived in our whole lives due to the amount of certain people flooding into the area and making it expensive for the rest of us. A prime example of this is the old tower block we used to live in, Balfron Tower. This tower blocks was sold of privately and refurbished. Now flats from that building are being sold from starting prices of half a million pounds. We were forced out of that building with lies of refurbishment and then flats being given back to social housing.
Transport
We are perfectly happy with the transport links. We have access to several bus lines which are all less than a minute from our front door. We also have 2 DLR stations close to use which gives us easy links to travel to anywhere we want. As a driver, I have issues with dangerous cyclists who dangerously cycle on the road causing risk to myself and members of the public. For example they do no obey red lights, do not stop for pedestrians at zebra crossings and cause damage to our vehicles. I have been a victim of a cyclist crashing into my car as they chose to cycle on the pavement. As result hundreds of pounds of damage was done to my vehicle and no one was held accountable as the cyclist was not identifiable and held no insurance for any financial accountability.
Community
Bin collections are done on a weekly basis and we have no complaints. I live within a housing estate so we don't encounter much traffic noise. I believe our area is mostly full of social housing renters with many families primarily from a Bangladeshi background.
Amenities
We live 1 minute from chrisp Street market. The quality of the shops are such that we are able to do 90% of our shopping locally. We need more infrastructure for cars such as underground car parks. This will allow the local economy to grow while allowing local roads be more clear and safe for everyone to use.

It is a very busy lively area however it does need regeneration. Generally I feel very safe in the area people are always out and about.
Transport
E14 has an excellent transport link. You have the DLR stations that are all within walking distance from anywhere in E14. There is always a bus route running through most local areas that run very effeciently and come very often. It's very easy to get to an underground station. Traffic is mainly quite good except for the build traffic from Rotherhithe tunnel and Blackwall tunnel. The junction at the end of east India Dock Road can be very dangerous for both motorists and pedestrians as the lights are often covered by larger vehicles and people start crossing when traffic slows down.

The street I live in is a very quiet residential street. Very diverse. Lots of community events take place through the year. Situated very close to most amenities. We have mainly families with young children living here. Recently a few houses have been turned in to houses for short term renters which can cause some disruption.

Their is an array of different restaurants in the area. A taste of cuisine from all around the world. We have Chrisp Street Market which have a lot shops that have most essentials needed for everyday living. As well as many small newsagents and off licenses spotted around residential areas away from the market. There are also many parks for children to play in most estates have their own little parks. There is also plenty of open spaces for picnics and a run around such as Bartlett Park and Langdon Park. You also have the Thames Riverside walk way which can be faster way to get around sometimes. I would say our local area would benefit from some clothing retail stores as there is only the market stores that currently sell clothing and more indoor play areas or a cinema for children for when the weather is not great.

There are no buses tubes or overground near my area. We can not travel to upper London without being kicked out of the cycle routes due to bad drivers

Very little traffic noise. Most of my area are house owners couples and families. There are a lot of parking spaces but there are no bin collections.

There are no restaurants no bars and no local shops. I have to to draw downtown to get a quick fish and chip with the lads.
