It's a very trendy area, undergone gentrification and so there are alot more young upper-class individuals moving into the area as the old reprobates from before have moved out and into different areas, there's alot of development around my area including the building of new accommodation and houses.
Transport
There are two main stations relatively close, Blackhorse lane Station is just down the road and Walthamstow Central station is also just down the road, there can be traffic coming from either side depending on rush hour and trains are fairly okay when it comes to cleanliness and maintenance. Busses do run until midnight however so it could be better.
Community
The area is nice and clean however there is a little bit of traffic noise from cars and such due to my road being a main road, down the street there is a student accommodation however my neighbours are nice as I've been living here all my life.
Amenities
I grew up in this area, and growing up it was somewhat rough around the edges, there were a few gangs here and there such as priory court and the Mali boys down the road in Walthamstow but as gentrification came the area upgraded considerably, its a very safe neighbourhood with a thriving community, a very accessible train station (Blackhorse Lane) lays just down the road in a straight line and there's even a nice Comic book shop on the way (Krypton Comics). The E17 area is a multicultural melting pot with all sorts of people living in and around it, the streets are recently paved so the ground looks nice and clean with a local Co-op and Europe's longest market being around 30 minutes walking distance. Lloyd's Park is a fairly busy place due to its natural scenery and the skate park that is good for any children interested in skateboarding, restaurants such as Le Delice and others along the way to walthamstow are popular and thrive even during this pandemic, there's even a cinema as you get deeper into Walthamstow. As a rule of thumb, walthamstow is very populated and popular due to tha market and the shopping centers, it serves as a local community hub as there are loads of kind people that are helpful with finding places and locations.
it's a nice quite neighbourhood and the neighbours are very friendly.
The area is safe you hardly hear of any crime in the neighbourhood and there aren't really any gangs around.
Transport
Transportation in E17 is quite good there are Various bus stops and train stations scattered around that run at a frequent speed so traveling on public transport isn't really a problem
Community
The good aspects of living on my street is: it's a nice quite neighbourhood and the neighbours are very friendly.
Amenities
The E17 area a is a very nice quite area. There are a good handful of shops to choose from but I think instead of having a co-op we should change it to a Sainsburys local. There aren't really any restaurants but there are a good number of Takeaways and Cafés all in all E17 is a very nice area.
Amazing range of schools, Good sense of community & Shops etc are very accessible.
I most like the sense of community and the fact that a lot of people in the area know each other (probably due to growing up in the same schools). Mostly dislike the fear of crime. Central Walthamstow is less in need of regeneration. The area is suitable for children and pets considering nearby pet stores and schools. However, safety is an issue.
Transport
There are many bus stops in this area meaning transport is hardly scarce and we are very well connected. Due to lockdown, the cleanliness and traffic has decreased significantly but nah need to be looked into once lockdown is lifted. Travelling around any areas which have multiple schools around 3pm is extremely difficult and there is traffic consistently throughout rush hour.
Community
Parking availability is okay, considering we have a driveway it is a lot easier. Bin collections are done timely and are not an issue. No traffic on my street and mostly families who are renting living here.
Amenities
There is a range of local shops. However, there are less restaurants. More popular areas would include Walthamstow Central for reasons such as there being more public transport available and a range of shops in the market. More entertainment places are missing , as well as food places. There are also hotspots that people enjoy such as Gods Own Junkyard which is growing to be a more popular area for people to visit lately.
The area is really nice and calm but it can be a bit of hassle if you dont have a car
