Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday Roman road market is open. It is a fun place to grab food, a coffee and probably the best candy doughnut ever. It is trendy and fun to have a little stroll down the market looking for a bargain ;)
Transport
In E3, you are greeted with a multitude of transport links. From rentable bikes on every street corner to busses like the number 8 that takes you to Oxford Circus and the 339 that takes a stop at Westfield shopping centre. Bethnal Green station is only a few minutes walk from E3 and you are blessed with only a few stops from reaching central London. Public transport is heavily reliable. Even though rush hour can be slightly tough, it is understandable as we all do need to get to work. The only problem to exist is that sometimes the roads do get extremely busy. E3 just comes off the A13 dual carriageway and at certain times we can expect queues and blockages. However, if you are well rounded and comfortable with the area, it isn’t too hard to work your way around using side streets to get to your destination faster
Community
Parking is always available in E3. With masses of side roads, you aren’t to ever not find a parking spot at least within a 2-3 minutes walk to your house. Bin collections occur in the mornings. They are very efficient and try get the job done ASAP. On my street, we have a mixture of renters and owners. There are mainly houses and a few tower blocks. However we all do get along and are friendly.

E3 is essentially in the heart of what is currently one of the fastest growing multicultural boroughs. Having access to multiple take out spots, restaurants, gyms, parks, museums and shopping centres, E3 makes lifestyle into a living. It is within walking distance of two underground stations (Mile end and Bethnal Green) that give you great connection too and from central London. Roman road is a great spot to get your caffeine high as it is bustling with unique, quaint and rendered cafes and study spaces, making it one of the best spots for a coffee date or a silent read. Best thing to follow is a peaceful walk down the canal and admiring the subtle wildlife that surrounds us.

The best thing about my local area is that it is very children friendly. It has schools close by, children centres also close by for toddlers and young babies. As a mother myself it really helps. Community is lovely. There’s food places close by so easier access to get takeaway or eat in a restaurant. Also, lots of cafes close by which really helps to get some quick breakfast. Transport to one place to another is excellent as theres bus stop in every corner to where I live. And last but not least, it has a huge park close by (Victoria park) perfect for the summer or a quick walk in the winter to watch the ducks. I think it’s perfect for this neighbourhood. We have couples and families and elderly people who has easy access to everything. I also remembered there’s a doctors / dentist / chemists and opticians so close literally 5 minute walk so I feel like this local area is really good for anything to be honest. There’s nothing to worry about and it’s very safe. Atmosphere is calm and buzzing at the same time. In conclusion, I would say this local area is the best in terms of easy access to everything, it ticks all the boxes.

Literally 1 minute walk to the bus stop. Bus takes you to both Mile End station and Bethnal Green station. Only disadvantage is school hour rush where bus does get very busy and packed. 339 does take a long time to come.

There’s nothing wrong with where I live. Different type of people live the whole neighbourhood - old people/couples/families/kids etc I would say both renters and home owners live around me but mostly renters. Parking is an okay situation. It’s more of finding a good spot to park. Bin collection is good as it comes weekly. There is no traffic noise. We all get along as a community and people are very friendly. There’s some people who are quite anti social but not everyone is the same.

In my area we have everything close by. Local shops, supermarkets and a market (Roman road market) 3 x a week. Perfect for the locals and others. We have different type of food close by for takeaway or eating in. (Pre lockdown days) it would be good to have a bigger supermarket as Tesco and iceland don’t always have what we need

The public transport in the area are awful as they do not provide transportation to the entire area. This makes it hard for my family to fo work, school etc.

The roads in our area are safe. There is not that much robbery that occurs in the area. In addition, the dustbin service are very noisy in the morning.

The shops in the area are very good at delivering excellent service to its customers. In addition, the hygiene levels at the shop are outstanding.
