Overview of N15 5QX, North Grove, West Green

There's a lot of diversity in this area. A lot of jewish, black, white, asians and muslims live here. There are many activities for children around for example a football or basketball area where parents take their kids to on the weekends. The area is safe for kids. A lot of families around have pets. However, sometimes people can be aggressive or get drunk and start being noisy. Some people around also come off homophobic at times.

Transport

There are a lot of bus stops around. Manor house station is also close by which makes it a lot easier to travel around. It doesn't get so busy around this area however on the weekends there's a lot of traffic and busses take longer to arrive. Unfortunately the busses from here don't go so far either. Most of the time you have to get off at a bus stop, walk to another one to get somewhere. Especially if you want to head to south london.

Community

A lot of families live around this area which is why for most part, it is safe. There aren't a lot of gang activities or robberies that occur. Everyone is respectful to one another.

Amenities

Lots of local shops and restaurants around are owned by expats from the middle east. You can get a wide range of turkish food around as well as groceries. There are a few bars that provide a very welcoming atmosphere. Drinks aren't so expensive so people like to go for a few drinks after work. The finsbury pub is a popular pub in the area. They have a seating area outside and inside so on nice days, people can enjoy their drinks outside in the sun. Opposite to the pub there's finsbury park where people go for exercise. The park has a cafe where people can drink hot coffee or have some delicious food.

There’s not really much more to say it’s got it’s good and it bad but it’s home.

Transport

There is only one bus that stops outside my house and that’s the 67 which takes me to Wood Green if I walk about 5 mins I can get either the 341 or the 259/ 279.

Community

Good is that we live near a park so we can get lots of excersise. The noise level isn’t that bad because not a lot of cars pass by. The bin collections happen once every week. Bad things is that there is a lot of crime. A lot of different people live on my street.

Amenities

There’s not really much unless you take a bus and go to Wood Green. There is a park right next to my house which is great. Wood Green is very popular because it has shops, restaurants and cinemas. There’s nothing really missing it has a lot to offer the public.
