I felt a bit uneasy when I first moved in but that was mainly just nerves - I now feel safer here than in previous places I've lived in London. We don't have children or pets but neighbours do and the green spaces seems to be ideal for both! As mentioned earlier, there is a lot of development going on both on our street and the surrounding locale which promises to add a lot of value to the area in terms of community and amenities.
Transport
I live right next to Finsbury Park, which gives us access to the Underground, well-connected National Rail lines (including easy access to Gatwick), and a bus depot which fans out to most of London. I've never felt more connected than I do now and it is great.
Community
My street is a mix of social housing, private renters and owners. Demographics are quite broad but skew younger from what I can see. There is on street parking but it's all PAYG or resident permits (which the council rarely issue nowadays) and I've rarely actually seen an empty space so I don't know when people are using these cars! I don't drive and dislike cars so this was a plus to me. The street mostly seems clean - there are a number of commercial properties on the street and they take good care of their surroundings.
Amenities
Very broad range of cuisines on offer. Even as a vegan I am spoilt for choice and ranks as some of the tastiest food I have ever eaten. There is a bit of night time culture (wine bars, pubs, cinema) but nothing disruptive. There are lots of developments going on at the moment, so while a lot of the area is a building site at the moment, it's going to be packed full of amenities when all is done. It's great to have Finsbury and Clissolds Park nearby, as well as the Reservoirs in walking distance and a lovely sheltered walk to Highgate along an old converted train line. My only qualm is that the parks aren't well lit which puts them off limits in the late afternoon in winter as they are pitch black and unsafe (both in terms of not seeing where things are and ASB).

It is a vibrant area, whether it is just the main street, entertainment, food or shops, the parks or just the transport hin there is a positive and happening atmosphere! Day and night, fun and active to be in but also essy to get in and out of. And the cats have settled in since moving here and there are plenty of good walk ways and parks for dog walking!

The transport links as said earlier are great; arguably the best in the city, easy into London via tube, overground trains and good buses across the city - the transport hub is close by and stations are active but not horribly busy normally, and very good.

It is quite but very close to transport hub and the main street which has great shops and a wide variety of good quality eateries.

N4 has a unique blend of qualities! Our area has great housing where we live, great space, good character to our house and street; it is remarkably quiet given the area is alive and buzzing with activity in normal times. Despite the current lockdown restrictions the area has every available amenity and fun outlet; food across Stroud green road, one of the most beautiful and fun pubs, 'The Faultering Fullback'! Restaurants are not just the solid reliable eateries you may want, but a wide selection of styles and types of eateries. Posh but affordable, and good quality and great tasting Italian and Turkish outlets for the whole family! The parks close by are obviously well known and popular but also, the local walkways are scenic and often no known to people - almost like stepping out into woods and trees. But also you aren't stuck, it has arguably one of the best transport hubs in the city, overground underground and even trains (not quite wandering free but across the city at a reasonable rate with buses too!). It is not the cheapest area in London but rental and housing is not the most expensive; close to central; wide variety of shopping and leisure; good atmosphere and friendly environment. Fundamentally though for some, good coffee! And more than one place!

My area is usually noisy as there are different communities. However the best aspect is that is closer to my workplace and to shops . Transport link are good around .
