In the years we’ve lived here, I’ve found that more and more families are moving into the area. There are more people walking in the parks and more people with pets. With this, new restaurants and shops have moved in and we’ve enjoyed the new variety.
Transport
We are situated between 4 stations. Arsenal Station is the closest serving the Piccadilly line. This is a quick > 20 min journey into central London. There is also the Drayton Park station with Great Northern Line service to Old Street in > 15. Finsbury Park station is about a 10minute walk and has Victoria line, Piccadilly line and national rail services. All very convenient!
Community
There are many couples and families around this area. It tends to be quite quiet and definitely has a neighborhood vibe. I would also say that most people own in our specific area own but we know that there are several renting options.
Amenities
I love the range of local shops. From Godfrey’s butcher, to Bourne’s fishmonger, to La fromagerie, to Miss Pems florist and the list goes on. There not only is everything you could need but such great local flare. There are also a selection of amazing restaurants whether you’re looking for a cafe or a nice dinner. We love Beam, Top Cuvée, Finks, and Westerns Laundry. I do wish there were a few more quality pubs around. My 2 favorite are; the Bank of Friendship. They have a wide selection of craft beer and gin and have a great garden in the back. However, they don’t serve food. The Highbury Barn is a great pub serving food from some of the local shops. There are several parks in the area as well. My favorites are Clissold Park and Highbury Fields. Both are a great place to grab a coffee and take a walk with your dog, picnic with friends or go for a run/workout. All in all it’s a great neighborhood with many local shops with anything you could need.

It is a vibrant area, whether it is just the main street, entertainment, food or shops, the parks or just the transport hin there is a positive and happening atmosphere! Day and night, fun and active to be in but also essy to get in and out of. And the cats have settled in since moving here and there are plenty of good walk ways and parks for dog walking!

The transport links as said earlier are great; arguably the best in the city, easy into London via tube, overground trains and good buses across the city - the transport hub is close by and stations are active but not horribly busy normally, and very good.

It is quite but very close to transport hub and the main street which has great shops and a wide variety of good quality eateries.

N4 has a unique blend of qualities! Our area has great housing where we live, great space, good character to our house and street; it is remarkably quiet given the area is alive and buzzing with activity in normal times. Despite the current lockdown restrictions the area has every available amenity and fun outlet; food across Stroud green road, one of the most beautiful and fun pubs, 'The Faultering Fullback'! Restaurants are not just the solid reliable eateries you may want, but a wide selection of styles and types of eateries. Posh but affordable, and good quality and great tasting Italian and Turkish outlets for the whole family! The parks close by are obviously well known and popular but also, the local walkways are scenic and often no known to people - almost like stepping out into woods and trees. But also you aren't stuck, it has arguably one of the best transport hubs in the city, overground underground and even trains (not quite wandering free but across the city at a reasonable rate with buses too!). It is not the cheapest area in London but rental and housing is not the most expensive; close to central; wide variety of shopping and leisure; good atmosphere and friendly environment. Fundamentally though for some, good coffee! And more than one place!

The undergraouds links to central london which is very useful . It's in between 20 to 25 minutes . Bus are also useful as they come around every 5 minutes . However there are so many construction going which makes transportation slow

My area is usually noisy as there are different communities. However the best aspect is that is closer to my workplace and to shops . Transport link are good around .
