Many people think you can't have a sense of community in London but this area has taught me that this is wrong. If you put the effort in, you can build great relationships with your neighbours and local community. It's such a joy to have local friends, especially during Covid.
Transport
There are a huge amount of bus options available in the area, considering the fact we have several important roads running through. There are also a good amount of nightbus routes running through. We also have overground links and the Piccadilly line. Victoria line and Northern line are not far as well. There are always a good range of hireable bikes littering the street! I have never had a problem with the transport in the area.
Community
I don't drive but when drivers visit, I don't usually have any difficulty finding them a spot. I can use council vouchers for visitors in cars. Bins are collected weekly and we have the option to separate food waste as well as recycling and general rubbish. On my road there is a mix of families and shared houses. There are the right amount of people that have lived in the area for ages to give the place a community feeling. I take part in some volunteer activities in my community and I've found everyone to be very welcoming.

Holloway is a great area for shops and other amenities. On Seven Sisters Road there is a massive Morrisons with a car park. There is also the Nags Head market where there are lots of grocers and a halal butcher and fishmonger. Further along the street there is a Cypriot grocer which does a really good range of vegetables and fruit at good prices. At the junction of Hornsey Road there is Hua Run, a Chinese supermarket which crams a large range of goods into a small space. Nags Head market and the corner of Hornsey and Seven Sisters are also home to two food stall areas. These mini restaurants offer takeaway and some have seating. They're honestly such amazing quality, value and range of cuisines. I was so delighted when I discovered them. Aside from food, Seven Sisters Road Holloway also has a lot of other useful shops. You can buy textiles and craft supplies, get your phone fixed and buy various cables, get a deal on furniture at the BHS shop, and find cheap things at Poundland. Every weekend a large car boot sale is held in a car park just off the Seven Sisters Road and it's such fun wandering around. The pubs are generally fine, but the Swimmer is a great pub with some outside space and board games. I suppose two drawbacks of the area are the actual Seven Sisters Road and Holloway Road. They are very busy arterial roads. On the other hand though, you can catch a bus to pretty much anywhere! There are lots of little parks scattered about but there isn't a big open space as far as I'm aware. All in all I think this area has everything you'd need and more.

It is a vibrant area, whether it is just the main street, entertainment, food or shops, the parks or just the transport hin there is a positive and happening atmosphere! Day and night, fun and active to be in but also essy to get in and out of. And the cats have settled in since moving here and there are plenty of good walk ways and parks for dog walking!

The transport links as said earlier are great; arguably the best in the city, easy into London via tube, overground trains and good buses across the city - the transport hub is close by and stations are active but not horribly busy normally, and very good.

It is quite but very close to transport hub and the main street which has great shops and a wide variety of good quality eateries.

N4 has a unique blend of qualities! Our area has great housing where we live, great space, good character to our house and street; it is remarkably quiet given the area is alive and buzzing with activity in normal times. Despite the current lockdown restrictions the area has every available amenity and fun outlet; food across Stroud green road, one of the most beautiful and fun pubs, 'The Faultering Fullback'! Restaurants are not just the solid reliable eateries you may want, but a wide selection of styles and types of eateries. Posh but affordable, and good quality and great tasting Italian and Turkish outlets for the whole family! The parks close by are obviously well known and popular but also, the local walkways are scenic and often no known to people - almost like stepping out into woods and trees. But also you aren't stuck, it has arguably one of the best transport hubs in the city, overground underground and even trains (not quite wandering free but across the city at a reasonable rate with buses too!). It is not the cheapest area in London but rental and housing is not the most expensive; close to central; wide variety of shopping and leisure; good atmosphere and friendly environment. Fundamentally though for some, good coffee! And more than one place!

What i most like about my area is that all my friends don’t live too far from me and the areas we do meet up at are quite close to me. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday the markets are very packed, however we still behave as civilised human beings which is certainly a great factor. I would say some places are in need of regeneration as they have been around for quite a long time. There is a park for children that even allows them to interact socially, furthermore across that park is a nursery so the area is very suitable for children. There is also a grass area where you can take your pet!

Bus stations are quite regularly dirty, however there is rarely any traffic and different bus stations have many buses you can take. Furthermore, there is a train station if your willing to travel long distances. However, at night there can be some people who seem sketchy and engage in illegal activities around the bus stations so be wary.
Community
There is a range of parking availability and bin collection are quite regularly so you won’t see trash overflowing from the bins! Anti-social behaviour is quite rare, however a lot of pro social behaviour goes on and this community helps each other in many different ways. Most people that live on my street are in fact renters.

My local area is quite the place! There is a range of places to eat from as well as sports grounds where you are able to engage in social activities. There is a variety of different cultured restaurants and so you can always eat something different! However, there can be quite some unpleasant people who engage in illegal activities around the area so be wary.
