I mostly like the people in this neighbourhood as they are very friendly. I like that it is a very residnetial area, so it is usually very peaceful and quiet. The access to many amenities (essentials shops, pharmacy, park) makes it very convenient. It is suitable for children as there is a primary school (Gladstone Park Primary School) and as there are mostly houses here, it is suitable for pets. I find that this area is quite safe as it is mostly families or couples living here.
Transport
Burnley road leading to Dudden Hill Lane is always very congested (very long queue before the traffic lights) during rush hour is a problem. However, as it is quite a residential area, roads/pavements are generally are very clean, quiet and relatively wide. Dollis Hill station is on the Jubilee line so it will provide very convenient and quick access into central london. It is very reliable and frequent as it is also one of the lines that operate on the weekend night hours. Buses 226 and 302 are available but do take quite a while to come.

Parking spaces are available only for residents of my street! Bin collections are regular and usually reliable. Though a small issue, bin men do not pull the bins back into the sheds. It is a residential area with communal gardens. Usually, it is a very quiet, away from any noise of traffic since it is a dead end road. However, neighbours are very friendly and mostly couples live on my street, with a few kids that live here and occasionally come out to play. Otherwise, it is safe and there is not much anti social behaviour Gladstone Park is only a few minutes walk away. Dollis Hill station is also only a 5 minute walk away.
Amenities
The local shops include many corner shops opposite Dollis Hill that sell a vast range of necessities, so it is very convenient. For example, if you need essentials like food or even stamps, you will be able to find these! There is also a pharmacy situated next to these shops. Overall, the qualities of these places are very good as they provide mostly everything you need with friendly owners! Small restaurants/takeaways are perfect for food to grab on the way back from a journey. The portugese grill and bar (pre-covid) was always a popular and busy place especially in the summer. Gladstone Park is a very big and beautiful park as it has a lot of open green space, a great view, a workout area and playgrounds for kids. What is missing and what would be nice is a cafe.

The area is considerably safe, there are no dangers till now. It’s a quite area so there are no market noises or traffic noises which makes it a very calm environment. The area isn’t very modern but it isn’t in need of regeneration. I’d say it’s a suitable area for children and pets since theres a very close park and open space.

In my local area there is mainly busses you can get in order for u to get a train you would have to take a bus to the closest station. However the transport is very clean and buses come every certain time.
Community
There are many good aspects of living in this area such as parking availability so your not having to pay for parking. It’s a very quiet area so there’s no traffic noise which is lovely. Everyone in the area is very sociable and there is good communication. There is a bin collection service that comes every week so the area is always kept quite nicely.

In this area it’s absolutely wonderful how much open space there is. Specially if you have kids the park is always close or if you want to just go for a walk you don’t have to travel far. There are quite a few local shops but you have to walk quite some distance. The benefit is that they have everything you need. In terms of restaurants there are many but you would have to take a bus to go, there’s a wide variety of food in the area.

My street it is really nice, good neighbours, no traffic noise, no anti-social behaviour since I am here, most of the houses are rented for multicultural people what it is nice!

The station of Nesdan it is at 8 minutes from here, it isnt the most beautiful station but it is enough for travel, we have like a market at 5 minutes from here with everything we need Tesco, barbers, restaurants. I wold say that it is everything that we need to survive!
