The area is in need of regeneration but is a nice area to live in. If some of the issues l hightled were adressed it would be lovely for all kinds of people to live in.
Transport
Thenarea is will served with transport links. Neasden Station is close by and served by the reliable Jubilee line. (However the station needs to be upgraded and aluft is urgently needed ao that persons with disabilities and women who have buggies can conveniently use the station). There are several bus routes which offers access to many different directions.
Community
Parking availability is reasonable. I have off street parking. I live in a block of flats. The area consists of mainly council housing estates with some new private blocks.
Amenities
This area has some amenities such as a fish and chip shop, 2 pharmacies and apost office for which l am very grsteful. It also has some fast food outlets (for unhealthy foods) and some local ethnic shops in the Roundwood Road area. Unfortunately the closest local supermarket is about 15 minutes away on the High Road. There is a great need for an Aldi, Lidil, Tesco, Co op, or Sainsbury Local at the Roundwood Road/Church Road, and High Road area. There is a vacant shop space opposite the Magistrates court, under the block of flats which would be an ideal location for a local supermarket. While there is a market open on Wednesday and Saturday, at the High Road end, the area used for the market is dirty and depressing looking and does not encourage patronage. The local alcoholics use this area to congrigate and they leave it dirty. If the area around the market was cleaned it would make such a difference to the overall appearance of the area. Living in a modern flat over looking that grim sight is not ideal and it makes the idea of frequenting the local shops daunting, having to walk through alcoholics drinking is not easy as a female. Luckily St Mary's Church is beautiful and the food bank (now repainted) is a refreshing sight from my window. Going up Neasden Lane towards the Station there are only a few small local shops, from the outside I would not consider going into them as that stretch of Neasden Lane is absolutely depressing looking. The petrol station which was located there has now closed. That site could also be useful for a local supermarket as there are so many residences in the area. Yet there is now a car sale lot there. Additionally there is no local secondary school in the area. There is adequate primary schools provision but then children have to travel to get to a secondary school. On the whole the area is generally quiet and has adequate local authority amenities such as parks and open spaces however there is a need for redevelopment and investment to bring adequate sevices to the people of the area who deserve much better services. Because there is a high proportion of black minorities living in the area does not mean that they should not be served in a similar way to other communities . There are no cofee shops or resturants where people can socialise. There are a few cafes and mostly take away services this does not encourage community togetherness. I believe that this area would benefit from investment in services to encourage families to remain in the area and to take pride in where they live.

I think it’s a combination of everything to be honest trendy and traditional and it’s as safe as can be I’ve lived here my whole life and never I repeat never have been fearful of going outside or anything if anything I embrace the area I live in and enjoy the amazing activities we have seeing as we have access to a lot of different things.

The busses come at the latest every ten minutes which is very convenient and there’s loads around and we have access to trains as well.
Community
On our street we have a private park on our estate which is very good for any kids on the estate.

We have loads of shops and Access to loads of different parks there’s fun for everyone and it is a safe area for everyone.
