Overview of NW3 2SL, South Hill Park Gardens, Hampstead

My local area is very trendy and lots of people travel far to go to Hampstead Heath are shops around Hampstead. There are lots of dog walkers and everyone is generally very friendly and sociable. It is a generally safe area apart from the odd mugging.

Transport

Transport near me if amazing it’s usually very quick and there tends to be little traffic at Belsize Park underground station and nearby buses. Sometimes there tends to be very bad traffic around Camden market on the buses and sometimes tube stations. There are some roads near me that have been blocked off for drivers that tend to create more traffic than before when they were open.

Community

The parking availability tend to be quite bad and I struggle to find parking spaces. My neighbours are very friendly and usually social with each other. I would say they are mostly elderly people and families. there is very little noise and traffic on my street.

Amenities

Hampstead Heath is a beautiful and local landmark for many people around this area. It’s my favourite place to go and spend time outdoors especially during this lockdown. Inside of Hampstead Heath I love the Parliament hill field lido pool and cafe. Both amazing places to relax and take a cold swim. I also love the woman’s ponds on the heath as it is very private and affordable to go to. Love my local Indian cuisine Dars tandoori grill, absolutely delicious and very affordable. Camden Town is an amazing and cultural place to go to and hang out with friends and show people around london. The stag pub near me was a fun space to go and eat but is sadly not flourishing as usual due to the pandemic :( I would love this area to have a few more local markets and community areas to go to. I would like to have a local fair each year. A skate park near NW3 would be very popular as many kids around hear have to travel far to get to the nearest one.

Good tube bus and train links. Night buses are certi, only issue is the week end service on the over ground line. Good cycling routes .

Community

Bin collection is very effective land runs regularly. Parking is no real issue although on weekend it can be bad.

Amenities

Good local high street with small supermarket and lots of shops and cafe. Main issue is lack of late night shoos and 24 hr cash points
