Wouldn't say the safest neighbourhood there is but definately not one that makes you feel unsafe to take an evening stroll. Wouldn't recommend the high Street late at night. In general the atmosphere is quite nice especially in the summer. I love that it's so easy to get to West Hampstead, Hampstead Heath, Camden and the city centre from here. All within 1h walking distance (faster with transport). Many nice roads to go jogging around as well! I feel like the area is changing as well, and for the better! I would especially recommend Queens Park, Kilburn Arms pub, Farmer's Market in West Hampstead and Hilal Food Centre for fruit and veg shopping.
Transport
Tube from Kilburn, Overground from Brondsbury and Thameslink from West Hampstead make Kilburn quite well connected transport-wise. Also there's quite a lot of buses going around what makes it quite easy to get to. Jubilee line goes 24h on the weekends what makes it easier for the people who enjoy London city center nightlife. The buses on the Kilburn High Road can get quite slow during rush hours due to heavy traffic.
Community
Ability to enjoy more quiet neighbourhood (less traffic noise) but at the same time being able to enjoy all the amenities that the Kilburn High Road offers. The street offers quite a lot parking space. Mostly families/ young couples occupy the houses with what I feel majority is renters.
Amenities
Kilburn High Road provides you with a wide range of shops, pubs and other amenities. Just by the tube station you got Tesco and Sainsburys and further down the Street other shops like Aldi, Tkmaxx, Sportzone, Iceland and M&S. Pub goes have a couple of them to choose from including North London Tavern (huge space and nice food, close to the tube station) , Kilburn Arms (beautiful interior and pretty calm, with huge back garden) , Sir John Campbell (cosy Irish pub with nice pizza menu) and Black Lion (located just next to Kilburn Grange Park) to name a few. There's quite a lot convenience stores and fruit and veg shops to choose from as well, with Hilal Food Centre being the biggest one and offering a huge diversity of products from different countries. You will find yourself at walking distance from three parks, Kilburn Grange, Tiverton Park and Queens Park. The neighbourhood is pretty safe but perhaps a late night walk down the hight street would not be advisable as it can get a bit dodgy. What is missing is post office that could be closer, at the moment all of them are sort of scattered around the area with 10-15min walk to get to one. All in all Kilburn is quite a cool place to live in as it offers decently priced housing with all the above-mentioned amenities at your hand.
It's quite posh yet affordable at the same time
About my area I like the fact that is very trendy, close to central London, well linked to central and north London and with a lot of respectful people living here. Having a lot of green spaces all around the area is perfect for pets and children to go for a walk or spend some time outside. I love the fact that we have a lot of bars, pubs and restaurants just around the corner, we have Hampstead heath just about 20 minutes away and a lot of supermarkets and organic food stores and butchers to choose your favourite source of food. It's an extremely safe area having the West Hampstead police station just around the corner. The atmosphere is great especially on the weekend when people fill the pubs and bars and go for walks in the parks. Everyone is friendly, respectful and considerate. That said I strongly believe this is one of the best areas to live in, with a diverse population in general yet keeping it's English originality!
Transport
The transport links are impressive with a lot of buses like 139, 328, 113, 13, C11 linking our area to Kilburn and all the way to north & central London! There's 24h night buses as well which link the area to central London. The buses take about 35-40 minutes to get to Oxford Street and they arrive, every around 5-7 minutes or 20-30 minutes during night time. Also there's the West Hampstead tube station which is served by the Jubilee line and is one of the fastests ways to get to central London, it only takes 9 minutes to get there. There's also the West Hampstead overground station just opposite to the underground station and a West Hampstead Thameslink station connecting the neighbourhood to Luton & Brighton! The underground station is very clean & the jubilee line is one of the fastests, most reliable lines in the underground system. Extremely clean with Air conditioning in summer time when the heat is unbearable in other tube lines. Regarding the cycle routes, the area has have an excellent cycling route which can take you to central London in about 15-20 minutes if you follow Finchley road, quite safe and easy going through Regents park or Hyde Park. The traffic is heavy during some specific rush hours but it's like in every other London neighbourhood after all, yet the drivers are very respectful of pedestrians, cyclists, etc. In general the transport links in nw6 are one of the best in all London!

My street is one of the best streets in the area, very quiet with friendly and respectful neighbours. There's parking availability but it's only for the residents so it's more difficult for people from other areas to find parking if they come to visit. There's regular bin collection and it works very smoothly. I haven't seen any anti-social behaviour so far, like I said it's quite a friendly street with lovely people. There isn't traffic noise at all because it's a residential street and only a few cars pass from here. Regarding the residents, the majority of the residents are English families, mostly owners, with few houses that have students and couples who rent. It's a very safe street with West Hampstead police station being just seconds away.
Amenities
In my opinion Nw6 is one of the best districts to live in, in London! Incorporating the areas of West Hampstead, Kilburn, Brondesbury and Queen's Park, is one of the safest areas to live in especially the West Hampstead area. It's quite posh yet affordable at the same time compared to the nearby Hampstead area which is about 10 minutes walking distance. Quite an exclusive area, with a lot of shops, bars, pubs, fashion shops in the West end, hairdresser salons, quality butchers, etc. Some of the shops that there's on the area include the Hampstead butcher & Providor for it's quality meat, also there's quite a few flower shops, the West Hampstead Library, the weekly farmer's market and a lot of bars including Alice House, the Gallery. Black Lion, Bobby Fitzpatrick, the Alliance etc For a taste of Eastern Europe there's the Czech & Slovak pub serving draft beers and food. Regarding the restaurants there's a lot of nice restaurants around the area like the Cedar restaurant, the wet fish cafe, Ham, Banana tree serving different cuisines, as well as a lot of sushi places, Lebanese cuisine restaurants, Nandos, Dominos pizza, McDonalds, Burger King, Kebab shops and shisha bars which serve food as well. Also there's a lot of supermarkets nearby, there's 2 Tescos just a short distance from each other, Sainsbury's, a bigger Sainsbury's in Finchley Road, a Lidl about 20 minutes away and Iceland again on Finchley Road. Also a lot of organic food stores with quality veggies. There's quite a few gyms and parks nearby with Hampstead heath which is one of the most popular parks in London being only 20 minutes away. In general a lot of green all around! In my honest opinion this area has everything a resident could ask for and it's not missing absolutely anything!
there is a significant lack of higher end leisure locations
I think NW6 is in need of regeneration, the influx of people since the 70’s has leas to many areas becoming rundown. However the transport links remain excellent
Transport
Transport links are great. Regular buses and train stations within walking distance. However, local hire bikes such as Boris Bikes could improve transport links here
Community
Regular antisocial behaviour and sometimes it is hard to find parking if you don’t have a driveway. But there are good deals and opportunities for students who make up a large percent of the residents
Amenities
There is a good range of amenities such as cafes and corner shops. However there is a significant lack of higher end leisure locations such as restaurants like Carluccio’s or jazz bars
The area is very family oriented and people here is very friendly and easy going.
