Overview of SE10 8RY, Gloucester Circus, Greenwich

The atmosphere of the area is really good and I really recommend it as it’s a safe area.

Transport

There are several transport links that can be taken from where I live including many buses such as the 177, the 180, 199 and 286 which normally take around 5-10 minutes to arrive and the 286 also runs as a night bus which is useful if there is a commute at night. I would say that during rush hour it can get quite busy but nothing major and doesn’t really affect journey times as there is a bus lane which is convenient. The nearest station is the DLR Greenwich, this can take you to many areas such as North Greenwich station and Canary Wharf where you can transfer to the jubilee line train and can be taken to central London.

Community

The parking spaces are sometimes difficult to find but in the place where I live there is off-street parking so I find that really helpful. Bin collections are always on time and the streets are always kept clean. The traffic noise is not disturbing at all. The people that live on my street are mainly renters and there are students also as there is a university nearby.

Amenities

There are local coffee shops, my absolute favourite to visit is the Galley cafe, the atmosphere is amazing there especially when trying to get work done online and the staff are so friendly, I highly recommend it. There are also some high street stores nearby such as Superdrug and Boots and many fast food places to eat including Subway and McDonalds. There is another restaurant that we always like to visit on a Friday evening for dinner called Pho Street which is around 10 minutes walk from my street and the food there is really great they have a wide range of noodle soups and bubble tea which my kids love to drink.

You really cant beat living on one of London's best parks! We would of course recommend the area!

Transport

Greenwich has easy access to 3 overground station all with in a short walk and is serviced by the Thameslink, southeastern and DLR lines. Buses will take you pretty much anywhere from Greenwich station and we have the added bonus of easy access to Ferry terminal.

Community

The area generally has a lot of the younger demographic around with the Uni being so close by however it feels like a really safe place and there are plenty of families living in the area too. We face a park so very little traffic noise is heard and only parking to one side of our street.

Amenities

We are very lucky to live with one of the best parks at the end of our street! Greenwich Park has been a lifesaver when you need a bit of exercise or fresh air. There is also plenty of coffee shops, cafes and restaurants all within a short walking distance as well as Tesco, M&S and Greenwich Market
