Ideally, I would live a little closer to Deptford high street itself as I spend so much time there when I'm not working, but New Cross has also seen a lot of regeneration as a result of the gentrification of both Deptford and Peckham.

I tend to walk to all the places that I like to go to, but the overground is really handy - as is the train station at deptford. The bus network here is extensive, but pretty slow which is why I usually walk most places.

Some of the bigger roads can be very congested at times. I get round it by walking on as many back roads as possible, but the noise from roadworks can be quite distracting when I am trying to work.

New Cross is a good place to live as a student. There's a lot to do within walking distance. Anything further away is easy by bus or overground. It's great being able to live so close to Goldsmiths and other student facilities. I also love being near a part of London with independent shops, bars and restaurants. Deptford Market Yard is a good shopping spot.

Neighbourhood is quiet and very good neighbours are nice and there is a lot of travel options like bus, underground, overground and much more, there can be some rush hour issues on the main road but it’s not very common.

A lot of families live in the neighbourhood all friendly and there kids are great to have around to keep my kids entertained, there’s not much traffic noise and bin collections are great and there’s always parking available

Because of covid there hasn’t been much activity in the area, but it is extremely well placed and has a lot to offer, a lot of nice bars to go to for late nights on the weekends with the boys, nice restaurants to take my wife and kids and great weekly shopping locations, just sucks that covid is around.

It’s very close to a railway but there is no stop nearby. Tube station is a good walk away and buses are very temperamental.
