Overview of SE17 2AG, London

I like the location of the area, the way things are so accessible is just a satisfying thing. The neighbourhood is always quiet and enjoyable too! The area is suitable for all kinds; I had an elderly lady as my neighbour for about eight years, and not one complaint!

Transport

The transport links are very lucky. Everywhere can be accessed from this point. Buses can link to places like Oxford Street, Old Kent Road and Peckham. Camberwell can be accessed easily from here to which can lead you to a train station, same with Elephant and Castle. Rush hour is the usual 12, but only on non school days.

Community

Bin Collections occurred weekly, they are convenient for us. Traffic doesn’t affect us because this area is quite secluded. Parking availability is never a problem, the car park is just below and has available space at all times.

Amenities

This area is very cultured. Just a 10 minute walk from our area is East Street Market, where they sell a range of products, from fresh meat to hair products for anyone, anywhere. Just before that is the Villa Street Medical Centre, where they have a peaceful environment with amazing staff and skills to ensure you leave the GP with the best outcome. There are a range of school situated around it, good for kids that you may have. Popular stores like Iceland, JD Sports, McDonald’s, Boots SuperDrug are all local and can be reached within a walk. Elephant and Castle is just a bus away where the Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre lies. This area is a very quiet one, and anyone can get comfortable here. Of course everyone should know that a three minute walk away is Burgess Park, anyone can have parties, walks with pets, annual funfairs and even places of worship are considerable distances away. This area is like a diamond in a jewel, surrounded by lovely places to visit.

The atmosphere isn't great only tolerable rhi g is the fact that I've lives there fo almost 20 year and know and meet alot of great families jts definitely in need of regeneration. Hate the lifts as people tend to see it as a toilet and urinate in it

Transport

The nearest tube is 10 minutes on a bus. A lot of bus stops in the area maximum 5 minutes away cycle routes are OK. Busses are pretty regular with a bus every 5 minutes. Its hard to find an empty bus during rush hour as there are quite a few schools im the area creating people traffic and a lot of under 18 live in the estate who frequently take the bus to schools

Community

Parking is always available within walking distance bin collection happens once a week and its very regular they let you k ow if they're not collecting and provide an alternative collection day. Its an estate so no high expectations alot of low income families with children live in the area

Amenities

There's a variety of shops ranging frm a big tesco all the way to small ethnic shop bit these are on the main road about 5 minute walk away. There's a corner shop that's been around since the early 2000s across from the building there are no amenities shmuch as gyms or pool in the estate you'd have to go 15 minutes to the nearest gym
