The boat race is thankfully only an annual event. It's great fun but I wouldn't want it more regularly than that - our road gets a beating. Kick out times of the pubs can also be quite loud, but it is usually good natured fun.
Transport
We're about 15 mins to Putney Bridge underground or Putney train station. The trains are the quickest way to the city. It's good to have the option of a tube and a train in case there is a delay on either one of them when my wife and I go to or from work.
Community
On the whole, I love living where we do and I feel it is a place that we will stay a long while. There is a good mix of people here - lots of young families like us as well as young professionals which keeps the place exciting. We're very close to Leader's Gardens for when we need a bit more space than our garden. Probably the size of the gardens here is the worst bit. But that's to be expected I think when you live this close to London.

Putney is brill for us. We love being on our street. Less than 30 seconds to walking down the Thames path and in the other direction is Lower Richmond Road. Pubs, restaurants and a petrol station with Sainsburys. All very convenient.

Transport
Fulham is very well connected by bus and by tubes: bus numbers 74, 14 and 414 takes you to the center and 220 to Hammersmith where you can take the Piccadilly line or to go to Westfield in Shepherd Bush.
Community
This area is perfect for families or make it one... I think are mostly owners but there are a lot of young people that I suppose are renters. Where I live is a residential area so no much noise.

The area were I live is like a little village, a lot of Italian delicatesse shops (salumerie), bakery, very good restaurants and bar/cafe. For me living in Fulham I feel like home... I come from the little island of Capri, everyone knows each other... here is almost the same. When I walk on Fulham palace road to Fulham road I say hello to the woman of “The magic cafe”, to the girl who works in the bar, to the owner of Costcutter. My friend lives in Mayfair and sometimes come here to go to Russian shop and visit me... she said that here you don’t feel like you are in London because everyone smiling and there is no stress. That’s true! Maybe is even thanks to the beautiful Bishops Park, a stunning area along the Thames where every Sunday from 10am to 14pm take a place the farm market. I can write for hours about Fulham but I let you to discovery it.
