I've always lived in Putney, so I guess I would have liked to have bought sooner to have bought my house a bit cheaper! The high street does get very busy both with pedestrians and traffic. The bins are always overflowing - especially at the weekend.
Transport
We're a stone's throw from Putney train station so getting into London is easy - as is getting out as well. There are a number of buses that run from the end of our road should we need to go somewhere a bit more off the beaten track. Traffic is not good though around here - so many traffic lights just create a bottleneck in so many places.
Community
We live very close to the Putney Lawn tennis club, which I wish we had started going to a lot earlier. There's a very friendly atmosphere there. Our street is very well maintained as our neighbours take pride in their homes which I appreciate.
Amenities
There isn't much that Putney hasn't got in terms of amenities which is one of the reasons my wife and I are so happy to live here. Our daughter goes to school at Putney High and is very happy there. I like a number of the pubs around here - the Half Moon is one of my favourites. My wife often raves about the House of Yoga on the Upper Richmond Road.

Cycling is easy but the main transport links are a reasonable walk, especially if you need to get to the tube. In the world of uber though that is less of a direct issue.
