There's so much nearby so there's always somewhere to go which is really freeing.

I really like the amount of amenities in the local area. There's so much nearby so there's always somewhere to go which is really freeing. The area on the whole is quite upmarket, being on the edge of Chelsea - the roads are lined with white terraced houses and flats that are quite attractive. This gives the area a safe feel on the whole, so definitely safe for children and there are parks / green spaces that are suitable for children to play and dogs to play too.

Transport

Transport links on the whole are good. There are plenty of bus stops nearby - you're never really more than 5 minute's walk away from one. The tube could be better, since the nearest tube stations are 10-15 minutes away, although as a consolation Earl's Court is on the Piccadilly Line so has direct links to the centre of London, but it does get busy during rush hour to the point that the platforms can become cramped (pre-covid).

Community

The area is nice to live in. It is a combination of students, renters and house owners, but all are aware and tolerant of each other so the combination does not lead to any issues on the whole and there is not any antisocial behaviour. There is parking available but a lot of it is residents only and needs a permit, so guests finding parking both is difficult and expensive. The area is also near a couple of main roads so there can be some traffic noise and also noise from Heathrow Airport (aeroplanes).

Amenities

There is a very large range of local shops and amenities in the area. From numerous amounts of Tesco and Sainsburys supermarkets to DIY and home furnishing stores, there is a store for pretty much anything you might need nearby. There are a lot of restaurants and bars nearby too, with the Wetherspoons and surrounding pubs in Fulham, and more upmarket bars such as Kona Kai and those along the road towards Sloane Square. Fulham is probably the most popular area nearby, especially for students who go to the bars, since there is so much in terms of food, drink and other general amenities. The large Tesco on Cromwell road is also popular since it has such a large range of food and at cheap (ish) prices. Nothing is really missing, perhaps some cheaper furniture shops but that can be ordered online.

The road is very beautiful, with roads of Victorian terraces in well kept condition

I most like the architecture of the area - the roads are full of beautiful, well kept (for the most part) houses which make walking the surrounding streets an overall positive experience. Because the area is quite upmarket, there is less antisocial behaviour, so it would be safe for children. There is Brompton Cemetery nearby which would be good for pets to roam around in, so that is also a positive. On the whole, the area comes across as nice and quite upmarket, but with some individual houses in need of regeneration and an uplift.

Transport

This is arguably a well connected area for transport, with Earl's Court being on the District Line and Piccadilly Line, so there are direct links to London. There are bus stops within a 5 mins walk and the tube is within 15 mins. There is also West Brompton for overground within 15 mins too. There are no particular issues with transport, although Earl's Court can get particularly busy around rush hour, being the last station on the District line before it branches.

Community

The road is very beautiful, with roads of Victorian terraces in well kept condition, and it looks especially nice with the light shining off the white paintwork. It is, however, near a main road so there can be some traffic noise from time to time from the main road, or people using the road as a cut through. Parking is residents only, except for 4 spaces at the end of the road, so without a permit it can be an issue - traffic wardens can often be seen giving tickets out too. The occupants of the road can be split into two categories: students (mostly) renting out flats which are less well kept, and adult families / elderly people living in the nicer, more well kept houses. This provides a weird divide, however the owners are very tolerant of the renters on the whole. Bin collection is always twice a week which on the whole is good, however there is a tendency for the pavements to be left slightly messy after the collection by the collectors.

Amenities

There are an absolute abundance of supermarkets within 20 mins walk - including 2 Sainsbury's and 3 Tesco's. The best of these would be the large Tesco on Cromwell Road which has really good, cheap vegetables, and the Sainsbury's at Fulham Broadway isn't bad either. It's 15 mins from Fulham Broadway, and here there's lots of restaurants - including Wagamama, Thai Square and a Wetherspoons - to choose from, and also bars - Kona Kai looks particularly nice. There are plenty of cafes both towards South Kensington and Fulham, including an array of Costas, Prets and Starbucks, but also more independent cafes - St Anna and the Chelsea Creperie are both nice. There are no particular amenities missing.

Above Average living

Being very close to the Cemetery and amenities being a block or two down the road, not much happens in the direct area itself, the vibe within the community could be improved but it is nothing to complain about whatsoever, it is nothing too exciting but there aren't any issues to complain about as well.

Transport

I would say that transport links are just above average, as I feel that there could be additional links closer to the exact area I stay, but there are links that afford myself the opportunity to get to where I need to go most of the time. I am at least glad that the upkeep of the area is very good, and cleanliness never seems to be an issue and there seems to be easy flow of traffic majority of the times not seeming to be an issue whatsoever

Community

Being across from the Brompton Cemetery there are times that congestion builds up and traffic momentarily becomes a problem but not a major issue. The close area seems to be quite mixed with regards to age groups but I feel as the consensus is a bit older than the usual. More families tend to be in the area and less shared households from what I can see

Amenities

I feel that there could be a lot more convenient stores much closer to where I currently reside, with only Brompton Supermarket being the closest, I feel there should be at least a tesco or sainsbury express that could be more accessible than what they already are. As well as restaurants, I feel as there aren't a sufficient Mount of restaurants or fast food outlets close by resulting in the fact that I am forced to travel a further distance to get my desired restaurants or fast food choice. A lot more amenities that I prefer are a couple of blocks away which is accessible but not too close
