I really like the amount of amenities in the local area. There's so much nearby so there's always somewhere to go which is really freeing. The area on the whole is quite upmarket, being on the edge of Chelsea - the roads are lined with white terraced houses and flats that are quite attractive. This gives the area a safe feel on the whole, so definitely safe for children and there are parks / green spaces that are suitable for children to play and dogs to play too.
Transport
Transport links on the whole are good. There are plenty of bus stops nearby - you're never really more than 5 minute's walk away from one. The tube could be better, since the nearest tube stations are 10-15 minutes away, although as a consolation Earl's Court is on the Piccadilly Line so has direct links to the centre of London, but it does get busy during rush hour to the point that the platforms can become cramped (pre-covid).
Community
The area is nice to live in. It is a combination of students, renters and house owners, but all are aware and tolerant of each other so the combination does not lead to any issues on the whole and there is not any antisocial behaviour. There is parking available but a lot of it is residents only and needs a permit, so guests finding parking both is difficult and expensive. The area is also near a couple of main roads so there can be some traffic noise and also noise from Heathrow Airport (aeroplanes).

There is a very large range of local shops and amenities in the area. From numerous amounts of Tesco and Sainsburys supermarkets to DIY and home furnishing stores, there is a store for pretty much anything you might need nearby. There are a lot of restaurants and bars nearby too, with the Wetherspoons and surrounding pubs in Fulham, and more upmarket bars such as Kona Kai and those along the road towards Sloane Square. Fulham is probably the most popular area nearby, especially for students who go to the bars, since there is so much in terms of food, drink and other general amenities. The large Tesco on Cromwell road is also popular since it has such a large range of food and at cheap (ish) prices. Nothing is really missing, perhaps some cheaper furniture shops but that can be ordered online.

I love the mix of old school and new. It may not be the trendiest place in London, but it is overall the best. Great for pets and children, not overly populated, reasonably safe, beautiful houses, and within a 30 lion walk from both the river and Hyde park.
Transport
Walking distance to West Brompton, Earl's Court, and Fulham Broadway. A longer was will get you to South Ken, Gloucester Road, Knightsbridge, or Sloane Square. Very good for district and circle lines, as well as Picadilly. Great bus routes too.
Community
It's a nice large yet reasonably quiet street, apart from all the delivery motorbikes. Quieter at night time than during the day. Mostly owners. mostly families, but also up and coming single people and young couples. Not many students, very little anti-social behaviour or crime. Bins and recycling collected twice a week...they leave a bit of a mess after though. Lots of dog-walkers.

We have a great Whole Foods (but not as large as the one on High Street Ken), and a decent mid-size Waitrose and Sainsbury's. We are missing a decent-sized M&S Foods and Tesco. Lots of lovely Delicatessen and independent bakery and grocery shops inc. Nature, Bailey & Sage, tree, etc. We have both an arthouse cinema and a large due cinema and many gym options and coffee shops. Lots of lovely Italian restaurants and bistros with outdoor space too. Within walking distance of many different tube stops for circle and district line, as well as Picadilly. Lots of nice walks, inc. Bromptom Cemetery.

Likes: west brompton cemetery. Perfect for a bit of reprive and walks. Great for taking children or pets. Pop up restaurants are great addition and some great cafes and really good coffee. Area is being developed with more up market housing. Dislikes: as mentioned, the large pub and bar establishments (the prince and atlas) mean navigating through sometimes noisy and drunken crowds to get home. Area is safe enough, not as busy as earls court by comparison and a bit quieter. However the west brompton station is very central.
Transport
West brompton station is handy for district line. Annoying part is that it’s literally one stop outside zone 1, but earls court is about 10 mins walk away that is very helpful for Piccadilly as well as district line. Old brompton road gets busy traffic, but not as bad as Cromwell road in parallel.
Community
Interesting mix of residents in the area. Lillie square development is a luxury square, however around it are a mix of more cheaper options. Feels like the area is undergoing a large redevelopment. Mostly comprised of renters living in the area, and mix of ages. West brompton station because is above ground provides more train noise that I can hear from inside my flat. Because there are some large pubs and bars - the Prince and the Atlas, normal days attracts quite a large party crowd on the streets.

Old brompton road has a lot of the necessities: hardware store, express tescos, the prince, and a range of pop up restaurants. Old brompton cemetery is a nice park space for walks. Larger supermarkets and post office are approx 15 mins walk away, rather than within the direct vicinity. However you’re well placed and close enough to earls court high street and closer to Fulham.
