The aspect that I dislike the most is the idea that the council are more financially focused and driven, since there is a large amount of planning permissions submitted and in the pipeline for tall story building to be introduced that would break and ruin the general aesthetics and feel of the area. The area is suitable for children and is there a good number of schools present in and around the area. Ealing is a pet and family friendly borough with a Variety of green parks and spaces for people to enjoy. Safety in general is on par, however with the surrounding lower income boroughs (Acton/Shepards Bush,Southall,Hanwell) there is an uprise in the numbers of thefts and burglaries happening at the moment.
Transport
The borough of Ealing has a large transport link with the likes and selections of a variety of bus routes, over ground and underground (central line),together with newly incorporated cycle routes that has been out in place. Traffic is prominent in the area, however there is a sense of smooth flow in regards to it. An issue that would make a major difference is the link to get the Wimbledon via the underground network. (One need to travel into the city/Earls Court, only to go out of the city to get to Wimbledon).

The Road and streets in around the centre of Ealing Broadway station tend to be in a terrible state in general (Large potholes, uneven road and cracked surfaces. The General amount of bustops around the station makes it quite difficult to travel around the station due to the overal congestion that it creates. The overall cleanliness of the streets could be looked at by the council as the further you move towards West Ealing, the worst it gets. Most of the properties around my area tend to be estate agent rentals (Large selection of Victorian Houses converted into singular flats) ,with a good few private family owned properties.
Amenities
Ealing and Ealing Broadway have a selection of various high street (chains) and local independent stores and shops, together with an array of restaurants and pubs in the area. There an element of middle eastern restaurants the closer you move to West-Ealing,together with a few european super markets. There is a feel and sense of independent handcraft/creative stores missing, due to a large amount of chains being present.
incredibly safe for young people to walk around and yet simultaneously remain close to home.
The area has excellent primary and High schools and Northfields Avenue aswell as Pitshanger Lane (Which previously won High street of the year ) are other areas within the Borough with great local shops and restaurants where many families live. Pitshanger Lane is mainly inhabited by families as is Northfields Avenue and the surrounding streets and is incredibly safe for young people to walk around and yet simultaneously remain close to home.
Transport
Ealing has various tube stations,Ealing Broadway on the Central and District lines ,South Ealing ,Ealing Common,North Ealing and Northfields on the Picadilly line and West Ealing and Ealing Broadway which will accommodate the Elizabeth line and also has links to Heathrow Airport. Ealing Broadway also has a fast train to Paddington aswell as overground trains to Reading and beyond. London buses run throughout the borough and there are plenty of cycle lanes . There is a Black taxi rank outside Ealing Broadway station and the Borough has recently launched a new scheme called Slide where a mini bus will pick you up and drop you off within the centre of the Borough for a small fee and freedom pass holders can use this service for free.

My street is incredibly quiet and is inhabited by both owner occupied flats and housers aswell as rented flats .My street is mainly inhabited by families and couples and is a three minute walk from beautiful Walpole Park. My street requires a permit from 10 to 11 am and 3 to 4 pm but this can be obtained easily from Ealing Council and can then be accessed via the Pay by phone app making it incredibly easy for you to pay the small fee for guests/contractors visiting your property during these times. The Borough of Ealing provides waste and recycling bins for residents and these are collected on alternate weeks. You can also obtain a green bin for garden waste for a small annual fee and this is collected fortnightly. My street is also a five minute walk from Lamas Park to the south and all the shops at West Ealing to the West.Ealing Broadway with all its shops and restaurants is a ten minute walk through Walpole Park or you can also walk to it via the streets around the parks perimeter. South Ealing Station is a fifteen minute walk with direct underground trains to Heathrow and West Ealing is a fifteen minute walk to the West with TFL trains taking fifteen minutes to Heathrow.

Ealing’s historical name was Queen of the suburbs and it truly is! Ealing is one of the greenest boroughs in London and is characterised by a plethora of tree lined streets and multiple parks including Walpole Park at the centre which boasts a duck pond, cafe, children’s play area ,cafe and restaurant.Walpole park also holds both The Ealing Jazz and comedy festivals every summer. Ealing is also the home of Ealing film studios which was visited in the recent past by the Duchess of Cambridge . Ealing has fabulous transport links and is on the Central,District and Piccadilly lines and will soon herald the advent of Cross rail enabling passengers to reach Central London’s Bond Street in approximately 12 minutes. Ealing has a multitude of restaurants from Italian to Vietnamese to Middle Eastern . I love living in Ealing and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!
There has been a lot of redevelopment which has been extremely disruptive.
Lack of cohesion and the police are disgraceful
Transport
The bus routes are good connecting Uxbridge to Shepherds Bush and surrounding areas. There are plenty of transport links

There are numerous parks, the lido, cafes and hairdressers. The area is well served by Sainsbury’s and Waitrose supermarkets - with Jacobs passage a little -known walkway over the railway tracks connecting the shop and high street- and transport links are good into Central London and HS2 will boost the convenience further still. However, West Ealing shopping is not what it used to be these days with Halifax bank, M&S, Woolworths, MarkOne, BHS and indoor market all closed now. There is a nice Japanese restaurant, Haru and modernised Salvation Army hall off the main high street. There’s a popular mosque and large church. There are traditional barrow boys at fruit, veg and flowers stalls still and nowadays there’s a farmers market on Saturdays also.
Mostly lived by students, workers and nurse as their is an hospital nearby

The area is in need of regeneration. There’s a lot going on already, but the high street needs to reflect this
