1 km from your searchIt is a safe area for pets and children and I would say it is upmarket.
I like the proximity to shops and various modes of transport. I like the parks and open spaces and that they are well maintained. The atmosphere is one of suburbia and freindliness on the whole. A community vibe as we have street parties in the summer. It is a safe area for pets and children and I would say it is upmarket.
Transport
Th transport links are really very good and one of the main reasons I moved to this area. There are plenty of regular buses taking you all over the borough and much further into and out of london. There is the West Ealing to Paddington rail line taking you into central london and the Heathrow connect taking you to the airport. if you don’t fancy the train there is the Piccadilly line tube taking you to the airport or into town for a bit of shopping. It can get very busy during rush hour especially with more people taking to their cars during the coronavirus pandemic but I rarely encounter long traffic jams. Soon we will have cross rail taking you across London much quicker than any other mode of transport.

I have a residents parking permit and find this greatly helps the parking situation. However it only covers 10-11am and 3-4pm on weekdays and this is problematic on Fridays and religious days. I live near a Hindu Temple which has a big weekly service on Fridays and this attracts a large amount of people from outside of the local area. This can be arduous when you are looking to park close to home after getting back from the supermarket with a large shop. Bin collection is reliable and street noise is kept down due to considerate neighbours. There is a great community vibe on my street with couples and families young and old. The street is made up of residents and renters and there are some students in a HMO but they are polite and respect the local residents.

There are a wide variety of local shops, from a local bakery, to lots of coffee shops to the usual big supermarkets such as Waitrose, Tesco’s, Sainsburys, Morrisons and a Co-op. West ealing has fruits shops offering fresh fruit and fish. There are also lots of nearby takeaways and restaurants to enjoy as well as lively pubs. Walpole and Lammas parks are well looked after large green spaces and are part of the Ealing Half Marathon route which is held every September. Dean gardens is a smaller local park. I would love to see a local cinema and hopefully this will be coming soon.

The only issue I have with the area really is that you do find in the evening there can be problem on the high street with people out drinking and getting rowdy. Sometimes the Police may have to come to sort out small fights. But I haven’t heard of any knife crime or anything of the sort so it’s an inconvenience but not something I’m wary of. I love that there are such nice parks around. It’s truly lovely, very beautiful. Definitely some great spots to let the children and dogs roam freely if you are looking to start or bring a family here. And I believe there are a couple schools in the area.

Right next to me there is Boston Manor tube station on the Piccadilly line which is very convenient to take you into central London but there is also Ealing Broadway not far which offers Central Line and District so very easy to travel from here.

Boston Manor high street isn’t exactly very exciting or attractive but there are some nice parks nearby and lots of supermarkets short walking distance.

Boston Manor is just a short walk away from Ealing Broadway where you have most of your amenities. There are lots of shops, restaurants and bars over there with serval car parks so very easy to access and a nice area to spend time!

West Ealing is very well located for West Ealing train station south Ealing train station as you can get quickly into central London and there are fast links to Heathrow and Paddington also

On my street it’s mainly families but there are a few couples also there is a great community spirit and I feel like I’ve made a lot of friends since I’ve been here

I would say there is a high-quality of local amenities in Ealing but of course this comes with a higher price tag that you may expect in other echelons of the country
