I love the trees and period feel and peacefulness of the immediate area coupled with the range of amenities. The speed of development is amazing with numerous flats popping up nearby and crossrail set to arrive soon this is an area on the up and can only get more upmarket. There are a lot of schools and playground in the area so great for kids. The local Mill Hill gardens is a hidden gem!

Acton Town tube gets you into the centre of town in 20 minutes or out to Heathrow very quickly so it's a great area for a pilot or air steward! There are a good range of local buses serving local areas. And at some point in the near future when the delays subside, crossrail will serve Acton Mainline.

The Mill Hill Conservation area is a gem in the middle of an urban area. The lovely period properties, wide tree-lined streets and the original wall and gates make you feel like you've stepped into the turn of the twentieth century. Unfortunately, the bird poo on your car roof if you park under a tree bring you right back! This is a really calm and tranquil haven in a busy urban area which gives you the amenities of the city with a local village feel. Parking is available through Council permits which are surprisingly affordable.

Between the Vale, Acton Central, Ealing and next Acton Town tube, there are a wide range of eateries within walking distance catering for all tastes. If you want to go upmarket, then venture slightly further to Chiswick and you won't be disappointed. Groceries are well covered by a number of smaller local stores dotted around and for tbe big shop, you have Morrisons and the newly opened a Iceland and Lidl next door. There is a real lack of good pubs in this area. You have to travel a bit further to Chiswick and beyond for this. There are a few options like The Aeronaut (except on Friday and Saturday nights when it turns into bedlam - good if you're young and don't mind sacrificing your weekend to a hangover) and the George & Dragon for a more chilled out experience. If you're willing to walk 15-20 minutes then you have Ealing Common and Acton Park which are both great open spaces. There are other smaller patches here and there more locally.

There are several tube stations and train stations that service the area, and lots of bus stops around, so it’s very well connected. The district like can be a bit slow and infrequent, but generally runs well. The only irritating thing is that the Piccadilly line only stops at Turnham Green between the hours of 10:30pm and 6:45am - give us the Piccadilly line permanently please, TFL!

I love my street - it’s quiet, it’s in between two tube stations, my neighbours are all really nice and there’s always lots of parking available. Bin collections are regular and efficient. The only downside is that it’s the Borough of Ealing, which is more expensive council tax than Hounslow (which serves the other part of Chiswick)

Chiswick has a great selection of shops, restaurants, fast food eateries and pubs to suit all budgets. There is a good mix of both independents and chains, but the most popular places by far are the independent places such as Outsider Tart, Lara and La Trompette. I would say the only thing missing is another bar - there’s only one proper bar, and it could do with another to give it some competition!
