I find Chiswick very safe and have never felt uncomfortable walking on my own, but as anywhere you have to still be careful. It’s a friendly area which is child and pet friendly, lot of coffee shops allow dogs. This is a well established area with families. Only downside is that is can sometimes be a bit expensive and not always value for money as some shops have very high rents to pay and therefore have to charge more for their products to be able to get by, that’s also why some shops quickly have to close after recently opening leaving empty business spaces which is sad to see as landlords can be greedy.
Transport
There are several tube stops to choose from, depending on which area of this part you would like to access. There are also several buses as bus numb 94 which would take you from Westfield all the way to Chiswick. What I am missing though is that the Piccadilly line only runs before 06.50am and doesn’t stop at several stops during day times/busy times, and I also miss no longer being able to take bus 27 straight from Kensington High road with its amenities and close proximity all the way to Chiswick as TFL has pulled that bus which means you now have to change bus at Hammersmith.

Lot of families with prams and also older people, as this area with its extremely close proximity to great green spaces attracts families and older people seeking quality of life outside the hustle and bustle of the city but still with the feeling of being central. There are not many garages available but mostly off street parking which you can pay using an app on your phone while visiting. Chiswick is generally a quiet area with lot of trees and green spaces. Bin collections area weekly for households. Street cleaning could improve by the council to remove litter and also lot of fallen leaves as it’s a leafy area.

Dont miss out in Chiswick House, it’s a stunning park with beautifully maintained gardens. After a stroll there or in any of the many green spaces around, head to Queens Head for lunch, always fantastic food and service! There are lots of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from which would satisfy even the pickiest of us.

I mostly like my neighbours and the fact that we have everything is so close walking distance. We have a very lively atmosphere in Acton. I think we could do with a local clothes shop like Primark or something otherwise we have everything. I have lived in Acton since I was 13 years old and I now have 3 children of my own I think it’s safe for children and pets.

I think Acton has the best range of transport bus stop underground tube stations and everything is so close by district line Piccadilly line Mainline Acton has it all. Roads could more cleaner and when there are Roadworks traffic doesn’t take long to build up.

I will have to say I live on the best street we have yearly street parties which is a great way to get to know our lovely neighbours. Majority of people living on this street are home owners but we also have students and renters I think it’s a mixer on our street from families to couples and everyone looks out for one another. Unfortunately we have a few anti social behaviour From passerby’s eg drug dealers but we have a street associate and everything is reported. To be honest as we live on a dead end Road we hardly hear any traffic. Parking is very limited here as most households have 2 cars. Bin collector are quite good but that’s not saying we don’t have problems sometimes our street is missed for some reason but when the street gets together to complain it’s normally resolved. Street could be cleaned more often.

Everything is walking distance from groceries to lovely restaurant and takeaways. We have a beautiful library with a leisure centre swimming gym all in one. We have 2 parks either side off us Acton Park which has a great coffee shop with a mini golf course also featuring a skateboard area which is fabulous, and also has playground area for 2 different ages groups I can go on and on. On the other side we have Southfeild Park which has playground for children basketball court tennis court a gym. An all rounder is our Acton.

I love the privacy and quietness but dislike the lack of community spirit. The atmosphere is bubbly . It is suitable for all including OAP's who can access local cafes, parks, leisure centres, bars etc.

The area is very well served by local transport with good transport links. The bus service for some of the buses needs to be more reliable and regular particularly the E3 route. the The buses should be better scheduled so avoid 3 buses at the same time or within close proximity leaving customers to wait for very long for the next bus.

Parking is terrible on my street and the disable parking bays are creating an even bigger problem as the disable bays take up 2 parking bays space which is unnecessary. The bin collectors are very inconsiderate and not take the extra bag if placed along side the bin due to not having space in the bin. This has created a problem with the foxes which are now strolling down the streets as they are aware of where there next meal is coming from. It feels very restrictive in your home when you are have neighbours knocking your door and reporting you to the local authority for having small family gatherings or talking in your home during normal hours. We have a mixture of home owners, renters, couple and families residing on my street.

My local area have a wide variety of high end shops including boutiques and restaurants, friendly bars with live music and lovely well maintained parks for picnics. You are not limited to the type of cuisine and dining options. The area has a range of family freindly restaurants and leisure places. The high road is particularly popular with a bustily night life both weekdays and weekends. It is a great for socialising and meeting new people. The area could do more high street clothing shops and larger Waitrose and Savers shop.
