Having lived in a few places in London, this is by far the best that I've lived in so far where a sense of security is concerned,

I think that my local area is great - a place really suitable for pets, families and children. It's very residential. Having lived in a few places in London, this is by far the best that I've lived in so far where a sense of security is concerned, and the area offers so much potential in the way of entertaining guests at nearby bars and restaurants, allowing yourself the chance to budget by shopping cheaper at budget supermarkets, and leisure and health facilities in the form of nearby gyms and green spaces.

Transport

West Acton and Ealing Common tube stations are both approx a 10/15 minute walk away from my location. Because of this, it makes travelling on the district/picadilly and central line super convenient. There are also a good amount of buses from what I can see, though I tend to use the tube more. West Acton tube station has a toilet in (Which is fantastic for those post-night out tubes!). These tubes do not have lift facilities, so access may be harder for some people. I think the transport choices here are fantastic. If you go to Ealing Broadway (20ish minute walk), you can also catch some trains to the rest of the UK!

Community

I live on a very quiet street and I honestly couldn't fault it at all. From what I've seen seeing neighbours, there are a lot of families and some couples, but no disruption. As it's a shared area, the recycling bin often becomes too full, but other than that we've never had any problems with the disposal of general waste. Unfortuntately, we do live RIGHT next to two tube/train lines, but this isn't as annoying as you'd think. Guests who are new to the area may find it to disrupt their sleep, but having lived here for a while now (and with double glazing on the windows..!) I sleep straight through it. It's a bit annoying when you're on a zoom call with work however and a train passes by!

Amenities

I'm very fortunate to live between Ealing and Acton. Because of this, it's great having the two different areas to go to - Ealing is fantastic and has a lot more high street Chains (JD Sports, a large Boots, Primark, Morrisons, M&S) and also has a great range of restaurants and bars available, and to me, seems like the main shopping district of the area. Acton, while smaller, has its own benefits of having a Morrisons, Superdrug, Iceland, Wilkinsons and a Lidls, allowing people nearby the opportunity to purchase from more affordable stores. There are also some restaurants in Acton, but it seems to be mostly takeaways. I'd say Ealing would be a 'fancier' place to go to than Acton, but I much prefer going in to Acton due to the value of the shops there! I don't feel like much is missing from the area.

I love how nice people are around here and how well connected it is to the rest of London with the central line mainline picadilly line and district line all within ealing. My area is upper class big house and nice and calm this area is suitable for pets and is safe hardly any police activity at all.

Transport

Bus stops and loads of tube stations all within a 10 min walk and cycle routes, very reliable train and bus service area is clean and traffic is quite busy can not think of any issues in the area as it is well severed and connected.

Community

Parking is not very good mostly street parking no anti social behaviour very low traffic noise, mostly renters and multiple occupancy homes, some homeowners are on this street.

Amenities

There is a huge range of shops in the local area from Caribbean stores to independent coffee shops and the main shops that you are there always, loads of massive parks like Ealing Common and Acton park Ealing Common is very busy for daily workouts and sunbathers and Ealing Broadway as that is we’re the bulk of the shops are, I can not think of any amenities missing.

I would say our area is safe which is the most important thing.

I mostly like the pubs in our area and the multicultural vibe through different cultural local shops. I would say that i wouldnt like Housing to be regenerated as i already saw south acton estate knocked down which really just moved the poor to make way for the rich which i don’t agree with. To regenerate i would focus on the high street maybe one of the bookies could be replaced with a nice restaurant and i would not want small family run businesses to be touched. I would say our area is safe which is the most important thing.

Transport

Where i live we have the Piccadilly and district like from acton town which is a very reliable service unless there is a signal failure. We’ve got no direct buses into central london in the day but the 207 can take you to places you can get another. The transport links to uxbridge on the piccadilly line is overused in rush hour and more frequent service would be useful. Also night buses at more frequency would be useful as. I’ve waited 40 mins for a night bus once.

Community

Our street is quite busy as many people use it to avoid the north circular when its busy. It also gets used a lot when sporting events are on as people park on it and go from acton town. Our street also experiences a lot of car theft and it seems any night our car is left unlocked it it robbed. There is a mix of people on our street its mostly families, theres 2 student houses and some elderly couples. There’s sometimes noise from house parties but i don’t mind this.

Amenities

I would say there is a good range of pubs in acton, there isn’t so many bars which I think is okay as it wouldn’t suit the vibe. There could be more good restaurants i think as there are only really fast food types. Acton park is popular and is a nice open space. I would say nice restaurants is what is mostly missing.
