My area is strategically located between Hammersmith, where you can get Piccadilly, District line, Hammersmith and City and Circle line and Sheperdbush where you can get Central line for quick connection to central London. Not far from Hammersmith station (15 minutes by walk) you will find Kensington Olympia, for overground connection. There are plenty of busses too.
Community
Our house is just in front of the park, so it’s really peaceful. There’s not much traffic noise but definitely we can hear people passing by and kids playing. We don’t own a car but parking won’t be difficult if you have a residence permit. We have never experience anti social behaviour since we move here 3 years ago , but we have sometimes problem with foxes :) Bin collection is every Tuesday early morning and it works well. We often run out of bin bags though.

My area there is everything you need nearby: shops, all the big chains and lot of independent coffee shops. It is strategically locally between Hammersmith and Sheperdbush, where you can find a big Westfield. It’s an area mainly for family but there are also lot of young professionals who live here.

The mix of residence is good with a neighbourhood feel better than other areas of London I have lived in. Prices have risen dramatically with strong interest from overseas buyers attracted by local amenities and schools. There are good sports facilities for all ages and easy access if there is a need to travel further afield. The feeling is overall affluent being close to central London whilst maintaining a local village feel .

The area is well served with four tube stations and an overland with quick connections to Clapham Junction . A significant investment has been made to increase safe cycling with improved road layouts to avoid busy junctions and the implementation of cycle lane on key routes used by daily commuters. With such a density of residential and office space in parts of W14 congestion is a constant problem exasperated by the closure of Hammersmith Bridge and the volume of exhibitions held at Olympia . Overall the choice is good and with forward planning there is speedy access throughout the area for those that know when potential bottlenecks arise.

Parking is good with the pay and display framework in operation regulating the limited supply ensuring local residence are not overlooked . The road layout has meant a significant number one one way streets which can at times lead to faster speeds than the 20mph set . Good bin collections occur with very little evidence of anti social behaviour. My road is predominantly privately owned family dwellings.

The range of local shops are excellent with groceries open for long hours allowing for convenience. There is a range from supermarkets across a wide price spectrum to the weekly local farmers market offering fresh produce. Book Green offers a place to relax ,walk the dog and place tennis in the recently refurbished courts. There are some good pubs nearby with beer gardens offering high quality food . Another lager open space is Holland Park offering walks sports fields and tennis facilities together with a large cafe. They also have a residential Opera season from May through to September.

The area is suitable for children and everyone. It's safe to a standard but hey that's London for you. You get that everywhere. It's pet friendly and children friendly. Local shops lovely

There is a variety of transport and is always busy! Peak times there will be alot of traffic and maybe due to weather too might be slight delays but overall efficiencant. Due to covid 19 buses and transports in area are longer wait now which means even more slower. The clearness of public transport is appalling apart from that not bad

The good thing about it everything is local plus alot of places to go and alot of things you and your famliy and friends can do. You get some friendly locals. The bad thing about living on my street you get quite alot of people who mis use and make our streets dirty unfortunately. Plenty anti social behaviour but we do have alot of police here all the time so yes I know doesn't sound good.
