Oakland Rd, E15 2AWWestfield stratford city is so close to us too that we certainly cannot complain about the amount that is on around here.
I'm glad we ended up buying a place with off street parking - I know a number of people who struggle to park their car close to their home.
Transport
We have an handful of bus routes either at the end of our road or on Leytonstone high road. They're not bad and good for getting around with our children. The tube at Leyton, Maryland or Stratford is what we use if we ever want to go into London
Community
We're close to Stratford which saw loads of regeneration during the Olympics, but our street itself and Leytonstone can still look grotty. We're happy here because of everything there is to do as well as our kids being happy in school. The high street is always dirty with overflowing rubbish bins which I don't like.
Amenities
We're close to two parks that work for us as a family. Langthorne Park probably needs a bit of modernization but it's clean and perfectly fine for our two little ones. Drapers Field is also good and has lots of paths for our kids to ride their scooters on. Not the biggest. They're happy at Jenny Hammond Primary School. Leytonstone high street has lots of shops on it - we can get most of what we want on it. Westfield stratford city is so close to us too that we certainly cannot complain about the amount that is on around here.

Nothing really needs to be changed. We have local schools (ranging from nursery to sixth form) Supermarket around the road. Train station/bus stop/local supermarkets. One thing that needs to be changed is the quality of the houses. Maybe get painted so looks more new and alive. Not many pets in the area either so never too loud. Very safe place to live and start a family

Very convenient. Only a 10 min walk to the train station and a bus stop at the end of my road so easy in mornings

All the neighbours are wonderful. Bin collection happens once a week and they’re lovely workers. Parking is tight but enough

Full of local shops and small restaurants. Will never get tired of living in this area. Stratford is about 5 mins away too

The transport links are excellent, you have dlr, underground, overground, bike lanes, national rail as well as coaches and a bus station. However the roads are riddled with potholes that never get fixed.

My street has loads of anti social behavour, gangs of youths congregating outside dealing drugs, the police turning up is a regular occurence. Parking is fine as we have permits. We live close to the dlr so there is the constant noise of ir going past

There isnt enough variety of shops in the area for me. There have been plenty of times when I have been unable to obtain a simple item such as rubbing alcohol, mouse traps, or an air can for cleaning dust. Forcing me to drive somewhere or get it online. However the parks are very good and numerous.
