What makes us different from other local areas is that we have absolutely everything available locally: gp, post office, train station, bus stops, supermarkets, off-licences, takeaway shops, pubs. All the listed amenities are no more than 5 minutes away making it so convenient and precious for us. It is also very suitable for children as we have a park just across our house specially for kids with slides, swings and football pitch.
Transport
Travelling is amazing, i live across an overground train station, 2 bus stops. Rush hour has never been an issue to me, who goes work every day during rush hour. However, the bus times can be an issue, if you miss the 236, it takes about 10-15 minutes for another one to arrive which can be inconvenient. There’s also many bus stops a few minutes walk away that go to several routes, ie manor house, finsbury park, dalston, stoke newington.

My street consists of all families, they are all so friendly and am very close with majority of my neighbours! We are all so diverse which is great. Parking is also very convenient, we have private parking available for our flats, also parking available on the streets.

I am so grateful to be living in an area where we have 2 local shops, a pub, post office, supermarkets, takeaway shops just 5 minutes away from me! It is so convenient, i live a few steps away from a train station with bus stops just across my house. There are many amenities available all over my area making our lives so much easier. The local shops offer good quality products whilst markets provide the best and exotic fruits! The train station very useful and go to many areas. Variety of take away shops. Although I live just by a pub, I have never had an issue with noise, always respectful yet cheerful people around and in the pub. We have been living in this area for 15 years and certainly will not choose any other area than here.

N5 is a great place for people of all ages, very well connected, safe, and with easy access to plenty of parks and restaurants. Everything you need is literally on your doorstep.
Transport
N5 is really well connected. You can use the Overground or Victoria line, or catch any number of buses. Alternatively you can hire the rental bikes which are stored just down the road. There are good cycle paths in this area so it feels safe to ride around.
Community
There are a mixture of families and younger people living around here, I think mostly renters. There are plenty of places to park as well as resident car parks. There’s also some green space to use and a ball cage.
Amenities
There is a great selection of restaurants, cafes and bars, all within walking distance. Not only are there a few supermarket options but there are plenty of corner shops and greengrocers to get fresh fruit and veg from local businesses. With the canal, Highbury Fields, Clissold Park and the wetlands just around the corner, you’re spoilt for choice of where to go.

The area is very suitable for families with children and pets because of the Clissold park. The area has rich vegetation, minimal pollution and less than average crime rate. The atmosphere matches the bohemians and naturalist with a high than average income and single professionals that buddy up with at least one or two professionals to rent flats as the rent prices are quite high and on top of them is the very expensive council tax. However they will enjoy running in the park and being in a very close to the nature area with good transport connections.
Transport
The tube is quite far for a relatively elderly person. Arsenal Tube station is 13 mins away, Finsbury Park Station is ever farer. In terms of buses they are quite frequent (every 10 mins) and are well connected to the city centre (N19, 341, 141), clean, but they usually have delays or come 1-2 mins earlier. During rush hour is a challenge to be able to get into a bus as way many people than space. Night buses are frequent enough and reliable. The traffic is quite quite during the rush hours and create delays to the buses.
Community
Bin collections are quite regular, good quality of the air because of the rich vegetation, lots of squirrels and animals that make the area very pleasant and natural as opposed to the city centre. The anti-social behavious and sexual assaults are rare as opposed to other parts of London, the traffic noise is diminished by the vegetation. Most of the people in the area are renters, single professionals that share 2 double bedroom flats and mostly families with kids or pets. The area is too expensive for students.

It is a relatively safe area with lots of families and pets as there is Clissold park in the neighbourhood. There are good bus connections to the city centre (19, 341, 141). Buildings are relatively old with poor roofs and isolation. The council tax is one of the most expensive in London and does not reflect the amenities of the area. There are plenty of grocery shops, supermarkets and post offices around. The quality of the area is good because of the rich vegetation. I only recommend the area if you are a professional with an above the average salary, if you have kids or pets.
