Camden is home to three of the most important railway stations in London: King's cross, St. Pancras and Euston

Transport

London Underground has made many proposals to upgrade the station. In 2004 a proposal requiring the compulsory purchase and demolition of 'the Triangle'—land bordered by Kentish Town Road, Buck Street and Camden High Street—was rejected by Camden Council after opposition from local people; of 229 letters, only two supported the scheme. Chalk Farm and Mornington Crescent tube stations also serve the area. It was later planned to redevelop the station entirely between 2020 and 2024/5, with less demolition than proposed previously, but the redevelopment was postponed in December 2018 by TfL "until we have the funds we need".[16] Camden Town tube station is exit-only at times when market-related traffic would cause dangerous overcrowding on the narrow platforms; as of 2018 on Sundays from 13:00 to 17:30. At these times, alternative stations within walking distance are Mornington Crescent, Chalk Farm, and Kentish Town.

Community

Current and former Gloucester Crescent residents include Ursula Vaughan Williams, the composer’s widow; the theatre director and writer Jonathan Miller; writers Deborah Moggach and husband and wife Michael Frayn and Claire Tomalin; jazz singer George Melly and philosopher AJ Ayer. Nina Stibbe, the nanny who saw it all when she worked in the street for Mary-Kay Wilmers, the editor of the London Review of Books, turned her experience into her semi-fictionalised memoir Love, Nina: Despatches from Family Life. Now Jonathan Miller’s son William, who also lives in the street, has written another: Gloucester Crescent: Me, My Dad and Other Grown-Ups in which he says Miller senior and his wife Rachel bought their house for £7,000 soon after they married in 1956.

Amenities

Camden is an inner northern district of London. Its heart lies in Camden Town, a neighbourhood known for its market and the colourful nightlife. In addition, Camden is home to three of the most important railway stations in London: King's cross, St. Pancras and Euston. The area's industrial economic base has been replaced by service industries such as retail, tourism and entertainment. The area now hosts street markets and music

Honestly there is no bad aspects of living on my street .

This area is very suitable for families and pets. There is some regenerating going on nearby but it’s still trendy and upmarket.

Transport

Transport wise we have buses and train stations on our doorsteps with very regular services including night buses. Buses from my area go to most destinations around London and so do the train stations which is Chalk Farm camden Belsize Park and Hampstead with also Gospel Oak overground services also frequent. Only downfall is Rush hour time when travelling by bus it can get into a traffic jam but that’s because of the narrowing roads and also a lot road work going on .

Community

Lots of parking bays for pay and Display for visitors. Residents have there own bay outside. My area where I live is very respectful and quiet no noise pollution or traffic noise on an odd occasion you might hear the odd noise but that’s just young youths for you today. There is no anti social behaviour that I can report on. Refuse Bins are regularly collected so there’s no overflowing rubbish found . My area is very quiet mostly owners and renters live here with family’s and probably the odd 1 or 2 students around.

Amenities

Well I live on the verge of Chalk Farm going up towards Belsize Park/Hampstead and on the other side I have camden lock just 5 mins away from me . Camden lock is known for its busy trading and is a well known spot for tourists. It has a rich culture and full of history. We have plenty of souvenir shops clothes and all varieties of food stalls and shops. From modern to retro and antique clothes and household ornaments. Anything you want you can find in camden lock. Camden High street is also known for its busy restaurants and nightlife. There’s always lots to do and see. This is situated over the camden canal where during summer you can hire boat rides and go up and down the canal . Now for open space park wise parallel to me is primrose hill open park which is a huge open space and also we have Hampstead Heath park with kids area lido, boating area, tennis courts, running tracks and play area . So I guess I have the best of both which is hectic & busy and also for a quiet life I have the blissful parks. Never a dull moment here.

It’s trendy here but a lot needs to be done to make it safer

Transport

There’s Chalk Farm station and Camden station there’s also Kentish Town station and the overground so there is a lot of travel

Community

I live on an estate so I have parking availability however there is a lot of traffic noise. Pretty much all renters most with the council

Amenities

Everything is going out of businesss it’s quite intimidating walking through Camden or Kentish Town at night as there is a lot to do with drugs going on
