I just like the sense of community in the area like as long as you’re an outgoing person it’s not uncommon to walk down the street and say hello to the shopkeepers or meet neighbours down the road and have a smile. A lot of people know each other in the area and it’s just welcoming.
Transport
Buses run through the main street and there is a train station nearby so it’s very easy to get around and get to where you need to go. There are many routes you can take from the main street and many bus options in the area. And as a plus a lot of the buses are night buses as well, so getting back into the area at night is never an issue. Sometime there is roadworks going on so there may be certain parts of the roads are closed off and this can impact where you can get the next bus from. But this is rare and it doesn’t impact that much because you normally just have to walk to the next bus stop it’s never the whole road.

We have a mixture of owners on the street but there are some buildings that have renters with families and couples. My street in particular is very friendly I know all my neighbours and I’ve never had problems with the owners. There is a peaceful Street sometimes we do get some people who are travelling through instead of going onto the main road that bring about anti social behaviour, but is rare. It may be a negative for someone who likes a quiet neighbourhood. But yearly the Notting Hill carnival will affect someone who is living in this area. Because it’s close to the main stage a lot of people be walking through the streets, there will be littering and noise pollution because of how close we are to the carnival, so for two days every single year that is something that you need to be conscious of. Amenities
We have 3 main stores in the area, an Iceland, Sainsbury's and Co-op surrounded by small businesses. Our street is very friendly! We have a local pub, church and hair shop and options of restaurants. When living in the area, you get a true sense of togetherness.

I love the location and the fact that a park is 5mins away. With plenty of local amenities and easy access into central it's one of the best locations to live. Can't really say there's anything I dislike about the area.the atmosphere in the local area is similar to that of a residential area towards the outskirts of London. The neighbours are friendly and there's never any disputes. The area is great for children and pets with parks nearby and it feels safe. Even at night you don't feel like you need to look over your shoulder.
Transport
The transport links are always great and convenient. The location means you can easily get to anywhere in greater London usually within 45mins. Plenty of bus routes to take you in any direction and usually the buses will come at least every 10mins. Transport is always usually clean and reliable and there's rarely traffic. Unfortunately the closest overground station is around 20mins walk which isn't the worst. However as there's no off road parking there's no dedicated cycle lanes.
Community
Parking availability is usually fine. Sometimes you just need to park down the street and walk for a minute so that's not too much of a problem. Bin collection is fine and they're able to remove waste so that there's not excess lying around the street. There are quite a few cases of antisocial behaviour on the council estate on the part of the street but of my 25 years living on the street, I've never had any issues. I believe it's half and half between renters and owners. With the half that's renting, the flats belong to housing associations. Majority of the people on my street are families.
Amenities
There are plenty of corner shops and amenities in the local area. You can find some form of takeaway, a pharmacy, cafes, post office, launderette and a few upscale restaurants and bars if you'd prefer to enjoy an evening out. Paddington recreational grounds is a short walk which you'll usually find quite busy, with exits leading out towards Maida Vale, Kilburn or Chippenham, it's always a popular park to take a stroll.

The area is quiet but there's not a lot of things to do around the area and overall feels a better area for families than young professionals. People around the area have a lot of pets and I'd recommend the area for families with children and pets.
Transport
Maida Vale and Warwick avenue stations both serve bakerloo line with easy access to Paddington or Oxford Circus and rarely gets crowded. There's a lot of busses available going to major stations across the London and are overall very reliable. The area has multiple stations with Boris bikes.

There's a small number of shops, restaurants and bars in the area, and larger supermarkets within commutable distance. Elgin and Gail's near the Maida Vale tube station are very popular, and offer a good selection of coffee & brunch items. Elgin is a relatively trendy pub.
