Everyone seems to be from higher income backgrounds and the architecture is pretty and appealing which increases the grandeur of the area

The atmosphere is positive, and rich. Everyone seems to be from higher income backgrounds and the architecture is pretty and appealing which increases the grandeur of the area. There is no need for regeneration and I would describe it as being upmarket 100%. There are plenty of pets and children around and the community vibe is prevalent and inviting. Safety is always a concern in london, however it is mostly quiet and feels safe at night as it is well lit.

Transport

There are ample bus stops within short (<5 mins) walking distance. Euston train station and Euston Square are reachable in less than 5 minutes. From Euston, we can take trains to all across the country including straight to Birmingham etc. Santander bikes are easily accessible and there are plenty of docks around. TfL links are always reliable and traffic tends to be worst at the rush hour times especially in the morning - making it sometimes loud!

Community

Parking can be tricky on our street. Behaviour is mostly positive and the street feels safe. It tends to be quiet in general but Euston road is only 30 seconds away which is one of the busiest roads in London, so noise does leak! There is a large student halls in the street, but the rest of the people are couples and young professionals who seem to be renting.

Amenities

We have large amounts of chain restaurants and cafes alongside smaller independent businesses. There are many parks and green areas, however these tend to be on the smaller side in my local area. There are bars and pubs aplenty which are always busy, and tend to be popular on weekends!

I really like that my building has recycling and food waste collection in addition to normal trash

The area in general is quite safe compared to the other areas I’ve lived in. The thing I like the most is how good the transport links are and how close you aren’t to everything. The atmosphere is relatively middle class which is nice sometimes but it also means that prices of everything around the area can be higher than less wealthy neighbourhoods

Transport

The transport links around the area is fantastic with big interchanges like kings cross st Pancras and Euston all really close by. You can get busses really easily as well. From international trains to the overground, busses and tube along with cycle routes almost everywhere it’s incredibly easy to get around . Although it can be a bit scary on bike around the main roads due to the amount of traffic during rush hour

Community

I really like that my building has recycling and food waste collection in addition to normal trash, which is a big plus for me.there is occasionally anti social behaviour not not quite enough for it to be a big issue. The are is mostly students but there is a good mix of families and elderly

Amenities

The local area is really nice and safe, with a range of supermarkets like Sainsbury’s and Waitrose. There are also a lot of quaint coffee shops like store st espresso which I really like. It’s also really green with parks relatively close together. Russell Square in particular is my favourite.

I love Bloomsbury

Lots of green spaces which is quite surprising for London. Some of the roads need replacing but mostly quite good. There’s also a fair few tourists.

Transport

Russel square tube is very congested because of the lifts so sometimes you have to walk to Holborn which isn’t great. There is a fair amount of moped crime but it’s not higher than the rest of London.

Community

A lot of students and professionals. It’s a very young area with few families. Parking is a nightmare and it is in the congestion zone

Amenities

Bloomsbury has a great range of bars cafes and restaurants. It’s got one great gym and a few other smaller ones sitter around. It is also famed for its second hand book shops which are incredible

I like the family feel to the area, the street isn't the trendiest but the nearby area certainly makes up for it
