It’s great near canals for walks or parks for exercise

It’s great near canals for walks or parks for exercise, close to busy central so great for work and such a chilled area vibe and really nice friendly people, the only problem I have had here is with how the local council are with some services and feel it could be kept abit cleaner

Transport

Close to 3 different tube lines, next to the overground and with 24 hour busses it’s a great spot to live, only takes 10 minutes to central and can get there 24/7. There are parks all about to do exercise and cycle about the only disappointment is that the public transport is very dirty even at Highbury and Islington they have just done the referb to the station and it’s still very dirty and not what it should be for the money and time spent on it

Community

Parking is ok if you have a resident permit, if you have friends come over then it’s a nightmare as parking is so expensive for them. The bin collection is once a week and the bin men are useless each week all the neighbours have to put the rubbish outside on the street or they won’t take all the rubbish from the bins they will usually leave half, I’m always complaining to the council about it but the problem never is resolved It’s a very safe area never had any problems, sure there are problems but tbh compared to other parts of London it’s a very safe place Traffic noise is ok It’s a mixed street from owners to renters to students to council tenants and it’s a great friendly street

Amenities

N1 is between all ranges of shops from cheap selection of foods and house hold goods on hollow way road to little local upper end shops near angel that offer more organic ranges l, as for restaurants in Angel you can walk down the high stress and can choose a place to eat any food from any part of the world 🌍, or more towards Holloway there are a lot of halal places to eat

Angel - Living Up to its name, friendly, welcoming, and enjoyable

I really like how popular the area is in terms of things to do. There are plenty of open air markets, shopping, coffee shops, cafes, and stores. It's a really great area to just wander around in on the weekends and explore the local culture.

Transport

The nice part about living in my area is that I am a ten minute walk from three tube stations, and there are plenty of popular bus routes that head right into central London. I am only a fifteen minute bus ride from Oxford Street which makes it easy to be in central London fast. I love how easy and timely the buses are to use and I appreciate the convenience.

Community

I appreciate the street that I live on because it is always bustling with friendly faces. We have couples, people walking their dogs, kids playing, and plenty of neighbours out and about. I tend to see police officers walking the beat past my building which I feel adds to the security of things too. We have plenty of parking, no traffic noises whatsoever, and there is space for the kids to play outside.

Amenities

The local amenities in my area are above and beyond my expectations. I live close enough to Chapel Market, Angel, King's Cross, and the Coal Yards that I can always guarantee there is something new to do. It's great for people of all ages, including those with families. The Coal Yards on the weekend as well as Chapel Market usually have fresh markets, even when it rains. If you're looking for a spot for a hot cup of coffee or tea, there are plenty of local and chain cafes nearby. We are also never at a shortage for takeaway or sit in, so there is plenty to do with lockdown permitting. As a young professional, this area really ticks all he boxes for me. There is plenty of greenery and parks, as well as the canal which can bring you right to Camden on the weekends. It's a safe area, and I don't mind walking alone in the afternoon when it gets dark. I love the overall vibe that this neighbourhood provides, and I am extremely happy that I moved to this area.
