My area is an amazing mix, and uniquely something for all ages, tastes, families, older people, those who live alone and teenagers. Parks a plenty for dog walkers , and every house a garden for cats and other pets.
Transport
I wrote about this in my previous answer . The transport links are as I described there. Excellent, but no underground. If there were an underground connection nobody would be able to afford a house here
Community
My Avenue is mainly owner occupiers. It I'd a wide road and there are no parking issues, though we do have to pay £125 pa to park in the road. Bin collections are brilliant it is the best Southwark service.
Amenities
We are within a 10 minute walk of 3 parks, 4 pubs , 18 restaurants and endless cafes, bakeries and a garden centre. We are within 10 mins walk of 2 state primary schools, one bilingual English/German , and one state secondary school which is excellent. There are 2 private senior schools within a 10 minute walk , and 3 prep schools. There are 2 GP practices within a 5 minute walk and several dentists. We have every single facility known to man except the underground. But we are sandwiched between 2 overground stations , 15 mins to Victoria or Londin Bridge and excellent bus routes. Writing all this has made me realise why I have never moved! SE24 is a fantastic area to live in, people know each other and are considerate and kindly neighbours.
Herne Hill, SE24 9NEA little oasis with something for everyone
Up market and family driven (as is nearby Dulwich of course). A great community focused area with quick access to the city centre.
Transport
Victoria station is only a 15 minute train away from Herne Hill station. North Dulwich station is great if you need to get to London Bridge but the station is a little further away (still only a 10 min walk however). Its great feeling connected to the inner city yet far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle.
Community
Traffic noise is high but that’s what you expect living on a main road. Neighbours are generally well-to-do and respectful. Many families around us. Overall it’s wonderful.
Amenities
Herne Hill: Great local shops including an organic grocers and a butchers, not to mention the wonderful Sunday market which is always been a hit with locals. With Brockwell park right on our doorstep, running has kept me sane during the pandemic and helped burn off the cakes from the market! The area is very family friendly and it’s easy to see why with so many wonderful amenities on offer.

lots of busses available from herne hill as well as a few train stations not too far. rush area the busses can get too busy to let people on and it’s a long wait for the next one.

i live on an estate so there is always parking as it is not on the street therefore no traffic noice, it is mainly family’s living here

there is a few schools in the area so that is nice aswell as lots of shops and take away places. not that much greenery apart from one park but lovely community
