The roads do get quite busy near me, which can sometimes make cycling more difficult than it should be.
Transport
I try to walk or cycle as much to my lectures as possible, but if I need to, I can use the Overground to get in and out of London or the train.

My area offers a great quality of life, which does not come cheap. I'm lucky with my own particular flat, but the development of Forest Hill has made it less affordable than it once was. The atmosphere in general is wonderful though with lots of young families moving nearby.

Living near Dulwich and Forest Hill offers a lot Forest Hill has become trendier and trendier since I've lived here. I love the different bars and cafes. So much on offer. It's also great living near Dulwich Park and Sydenham Wood for green space as I don't even have a balcony in my flat. There's a Sainsbury's nearby for food shopping, though I try to shop online with one of the cheaper chains.

I use public transportation on a daily basis. I am so glad to say that the regularity and cleanliness are incredible. Buses and trains are available for travelling to nearby cities. Rush hour are issues are less because of frequent bus/train services. There are 24 hour services for certain buses. The road are extremely clean and free of traffic.
Community
Mostly families live around this area. There is no traffic noise and have never faced anti social behaviour. Good parking availability at all times. Also the east Dulwich park is just 2 minutes walk from my place.

East Dulwich is a relaxed residential area with trendy pubs and eatery restaurants. The public transport services are really remarkable at this area. Another highlight is the East Dulwich park. It is packed with exciting facilities, historic features and perfect picnic and exercise spots. Last but not the least is the Horniman museum. It is an inspiring, surprising and family- friendly and free museum at lordship Lane road.

The train station is unfortunately not step free. However, the connections via the train station allows speedy fast commutes to London Victoria and Orpington Kent.

There are lots of parking spaces and it is within a controlled environment. There are quite a few young people in the area but never troubled.
