There are lots of parks all within walking distance which is a huge draw to the area. The area is in need of regeneration. There’s a lot going on already, but the high street needs to reflect this. It seems to have fallen in the shadow of Ealing Broadway. The area is fine for people with pets. It’s safe for children and there are lots of good local schools. Just avoid the high street where the pathways are compact and there’s a few odd folk around, but they seem to be harmless.
Transport
The area is serviced by West Ealing train stations. It’s a handy line for taking a journey to either Heathrow or Paddington. Once Crossrail kicks in it’ll be a short journey to central London and beyond. There are plenty of bus routes that pass through the area, and these run well into the night. Cycles lanes are continuously being built and improved. There are options for Piccadilly (Northfields) District and Central (Ealing Broadway) within a 20 minute walk.
Community
There’s a fair bit of anti-social behaviour. The area seems to have a problem with drug using, with people wandering the streets in all kinds of states. People drinking on the street etc also, but I guess this is London. Parking on our road is great, as it’s a wide road for London, and most properties are large enough to have a front driveway. It’s a mixture of renters in the larger homes, and privately owned in the smaller terraced houses.
Amenities
Whilst there is a range, shops tend to come and go, and there’s a lot of tat on the high street. Things are picking up, and hopefully it will improve once Crossrail and the various flat builds are finished. There are lots of great Middle Eastern restaurants to choose from, but for a wider choice and with quality it’s best to take a 20 minute walk to Ealing Broadway. Lots of good supermarkets - the large Waitrose is amazing - plus international food centres. It’s missing a really good butchers, bakery and fishmonger. Crying out for something like that.

I like most the commuting links as it means i can still live in london but access other parts of the country easily
Transport
I'm quite close to railways but mainly use my car. Close to M1, M40 and M25 so pretty perfect. During the school run it can be busy.

I don't have any real problems living on my street. The worst thing that has happened is my car was broken into once. Parking availability is good however
Amenities
West Ealing has a good mix of open spaces and local amenities meaning you have the best of both worlds and don't have to travel far to either get some fresh air at the parks, have fun at restaurants/ bars and get your essentials at the shop.
I like the ease of access to things you need on a daily basis and good food from restaurants.
I like the ease of access to things you need on a daily basis and good food from restaurants. I dislike the messy streets around the high street. Its a residential, family like atmosphere. I would not say West Ealing is upmarket or trendy it's mediocre. The area is good for kids, with lovely schools around. I don't own any pets and wouldn't know much to comment.
Transport
I have West Ealing train station and the local bus stops 2 mins from where I live. The bus stop opposite Dean Gardens takes you towards Wembley, Southall, Chiwick, Hounslow amongst and further. The train station is a saviour during peak hours as it may be difficult on the bus. The cross rail is something to look forward to as well.
Community
There is a mix of mostly family owners, and on my street. Unfortunately, there is a lot of fly tipping and the street is never as clean as others which is very disappointing. Being close to the high street also means having to tolerate people throwing trash anywhere and the council doesn't help by leaving a lovely street in a horrible state. There isn't much traffic noise and antisocial behaviour.
Amenities
What I love the most is the range of food shops, restaurants and supermarkets including Waitrose and Lidl. When ur tired after a long day, I know I can pop by to Cudi for last min groceries which is open 24 hours or have a lovely takeaway from German Doner, Yasham or Taste of Lahore. Dean Gardens is a popular garden with a play area for kids. The high street provides for everything, printouts, internet, mobile phone accessories, hair cuts, cake shops, u name it, it's there, only a 2 min walk from my home. Ealing Broadway is a short walk or bus ride with a town centre and more.! What's missing? A cinema and a play zone for kids when it's too cold outside.
