I just like the sense of community in the area like as long as you’re an outgoing person it’s not uncommon to walk down the street and say hello to the shopkeepers or meet neighbours down the road and have a smile. A lot of people know each other in the area and it’s just welcoming.

Buses run through the main street and there is a train station nearby so it’s very easy to get around and get to where you need to go. There are many routes you can take from the main street and many bus options in the area. And as a plus a lot of the buses are night buses as well, so getting back into the area at night is never an issue. Sometime there is roadworks going on so there may be certain parts of the roads are closed off and this can impact where you can get the next bus from. But this is rare and it doesn’t impact that much because you normally just have to walk to the next bus stop it’s never the whole road.

We have a mixture of owners on the street but there are some buildings that have renters with families and couples. My street in particular is very friendly I know all my neighbours and I’ve never had problems with the owners. There is a peaceful Street sometimes we do get some people who are travelling through instead of going onto the main road that bring about anti social behaviour, but is rare. It may be a negative for someone who likes a quiet neighbourhood. But yearly the Notting Hill carnival will affect someone who is living in this area. Because it’s close to the main stage a lot of people be walking through the streets, there will be littering and noise pollution because of how close we are to the carnival, so for two days every single year that is something that you need to be conscious of. We have 3 main stores in the area, an Iceland, Sainsbury's and Co-op surrounded by small businesses. Our street is very friendly! We have a local pub, church and hair shop and options of restaurants. When living in the area, you get a true sense of togetherness.

I would like to see more open spaces for kids especially with regards to playground upgrades. Either there aren't any or if there's then it's baby size. My 4 year old always gets bored no matter where we go. There is desperate need of good soft play options for kids too

I m a mum with two kids under 2 who don't drive but luckily the bus network in he neighborhood never meant I have to think about not having car. The bus network is always reliable, on time and clean.. it's been bit wait at times due to pandamic bus limit but drivers in the area are always accommodating.. while I went to work I never had to worry about missing my bus and being late as the frequency of buses here meant I could catch another in couple of minutes... tube stations in the area mostly don't jane lifts that's only drawback but helpful people always give a hand.

My flat is on Main Street so it's usually noisy during the day, but it gets quiet by night so can't complain.. but collection is usually on time but unfortunately have noticed people in my area are not very keen on recycling and council didn't seem to penalize so people got more casual which breaks my heart. Most people I know is are working people renting properties. Or they are older couples who own the properties since ages.

Living in w10 will give you the essence of being a Londoner every time u step out. Shops, pubs. Stalls and even canal by the reach. Great open spaces and gyms. What's not to like, come and explore
