What I like the most is the peace and quiet, as well as the number of parks nearby. I certainly don't like the fact that a lot of the property here has been purchased by those predatory landlords who try to shove as many people as possible in a single house, which is bad for their quality of life and makes it hard to foster a sense of community as people are always coming and going.
Transport
There are plenty of bus routes around the area, including night buses. If you work towards central London and you don't own a car, then you'll have to use the Overground, which, while it's certainly not the best tube line, I'd say it's reasonably frequent and reliable.
Community
Most of my street is inhabited by renting couples and families, and it's a pretty quiet place with plenty of parking options and such. So far, I haven't come across any issues.
Amenities
In my particular area, there are not very many local shops, as well as bars and restaurants. That's something that's very much lacking here. I find myself almost exclusively shopping online and ordering for delivery - even during "normal" times - due to a lack of options. There are quite a few parks and sporting grounds nearby, which is probably my favourite part of living around here, although several of them are half filled with cemeteries. At the risk of sounding insensitive, I really wish they'd just stop burying people in densely populated areas, and leave these parks for children to enjoy themselves in. That would certainly breathe some life into Brockley. In terms of education, I'd say there's a fair amount of options. There's a primary and a secondary school right next to me, although the latter is a single sex school, which is a bit of a bummer as I'd never send one of my kids to such a thing. Overall, I'd say it's an alright area to live in. Yes, it is indeed a bit lacking in terms of amenities, but, at the end of the day, you're still quite close to central London, which is something I personally think one should appreciate, as you have access to so many things with just a bit of travelling.

I would say there is no need for any regeneration I like the road as it is. Thought there could be a bit more room for cars but this can’t be changed at all

At the end of the road by the big park there are bus stops also at the other end of the road in terms of trains, again you need to walk for a bit long towards crofton park station
Community
Of course the park is great for pet owners and keeping fit. All the people are also really nice the community is really nice and there is a long running joke about the knife store on the road. We all kind of have a little inside joke

There is a big park down at the end of the road which is great for exercise. Also an unusual knife sharpener company. In terms of any important shops. You would need to walk for a bit towards Crofton park to find the useful stores and restaurants.

We like that we live in a bright, spacious part of town away from the noisier town centre, what can be a pain sometimes is the long walk through the Ladywell fields to get to the rest of town to catch the train and do shopping. Fields behind our house is good for pets and there is a playground at the east end of the fields near Forest Hill FC field.
Transport
We have train stations within a 20 minute walking distance. Three of the closer station are Crofton Park, Catford Bridge and Catford Station respectively. Closest bus stop to us is for the 284 bus.
Community
We live in a council house area and the people that live here have lived here for some time and most likely rent there property through the council as we do. There can be some anti-social behaviour in the block of flats (Foxborough Gardens) down the road from us, but it doesn't happen very often.
Amenities
We have restaurants and pubs over the river in the Catford town centre. A really popular place to eat is the Kaspa dessert parlour. It is a trendy American influence dessert place in some way similar to Creams. We have a gym n the area but a swimming would be nice.
