Blurton Rd, E5 0NLI'm slap bang in the middle of Homerton High Street and Clapton High Street, with Hackney Central station and all those shops there a short walk away too.
I didn't realise for ages how close I was to the old Olympic stadium. I also didn't know how nice the walks along the canals are.
Transport
I use the Overground all the time which seems to get me anywhere I need to be with ease. To be honest, most of my favourite things to do around here though are so close to my flat that I end up walking as much as I can. The buses are frequent too.
Community
I don't drive as I don't feel there is much need given the great transport links here. However, if I did, I think I would find the parking around here a nightmare. The streets are really narrow and as there are lots of converted houses, there are lots more cars than the roads can really take for easy parking outside your front door. The newer developments often have car parks though.
Amenities
I'm in the middle of Homerton High Street and Clapton High Street, with Hackney Central station and all those shops there a short walk away too. The bars and restaurants around here are great, and for London quite affordable. Although some are trying to increase their prices I think as the area gains even more popularity. I love being a short walk from Hackney Marshes and in the summer, I can even Walk to Victoria Park for any concerts there.

I mostly love the feeling of inclusion the sense of community that i share with those in my street however the area in general although quite tidy could use some tlc due to damaged pavements and such on the other hand children could love it here due to the diverse relations

I am not so fond of public travel but our roads at times in my opinion can be rather peaceful simply wonderful for quiet weekends

We have a mixing pot of nationalities such as Bengali Black aswell as other ethnic minorities resulting in diverse culture

The Bakehouse located in our little E5 area is simply the most redeeming quality it comes off as humble and charming overall I reckon Underrated

Rubbish is prevalent in most places and graffiti which is an eye sore to new people coming to the area the roads haven’t been paved as well

It’s not that bad for parking there are plenty of places to park and mostly families live on my street

The shops are my childhood but this does not excuse the fact that that the area seems run down and has not been gentrified yet.
