Fulham, SW6 1GAI like that west brompton is really close to some lovely areas like Chelsea, Kensington and Fulham, but it’s a bit more residential than those areas.
I like that west brompton is really close to some lovely areas like Chelsea, Kensington and Fulham, but it’s a bit more residential than those areas. There’s nothing I really dislike about the area, although there isn’t too much on offer in the immediate neighborhood. If I want to go shopping or eat out, I do have to walk a little further.
Transport
Earls court is very well connected to various underground lines, so it’s pretty convenient to live in the area. I haven’t taken buses much but there seems to be a good night bus service as well.

As I live in a new build development, it’s mostly professionals and young families that live on the same street. Not sure about the renter/ owner situation, but I haven’t had any issues with my neighbors so far.
Amenities
I live near west brompton which is pretty close to Fulham, Chelsea and Kensington, which are really nice areas for independent restaurants and cafes. Not necessarily cheap, but they’re usually really nice and with good vibes. It’s similar with local shops - there are quite a lot of them in the area, many independent jewelers or boutiques, often towards the higher end. In terms of open spaces, there isn’t much to complain about as Hyde park and Holland park are only a short cycle away. Holland park in particular is really beautiful and nice to relax in as it’s a little less busy than Hyde park.

I consider the area quite safe. Lots of children’s play areas, not so suitable for dog walking. I like the villagy feel and amazing proximity to central London which is in walking distance less than an hour. It’s definitely trendy and has an European air to it as loads of French and some Spanish and Italian people living here

Due to market street on North end road the rubbish is collected several times a day 6 days a week I guess it’s mostly renters in the blocks on my street but it might be owners in the many small side street houses. Side streets are quiet, north end road is a lively traffic stream most of the time even without market

Loads of shops small and big. Market street on North End Road 6 days a week. All biggest chains within 5 min walk - Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose, Iceland, cooperative, Marks and Spencer’s, coffee shops - chains and independent. 5 different charity shops, several laundries, beauty saloons. 2 fishmongers, 3 butchers. Photo studio, banks, cinema. Plethora of restaurants and cafes of various cusines - from Italian to African. A huge hit was the Fulham Market place near to Fulham Broadway station - various street food providers all under one roof with common seating area in the middle - before it was closed due to COVID. Another interesting pop up thing is opposite West Brompton station - several interconnected eateries/ pubs in one block of buildings which will probably be knocked down with the Earls Court exhibition centre redevelopment. I love living on the edge of Fulham Broadway - West Brompton !

The most beautiful thing is people are sharing and caring in the market for any elderly left to get enough what their necessary stuff for the last minute. And I dislike some people behaviour like coughing and talking unawareness in society is unacceptable.

Any bus or train for public transport is not reliable coz of the peoples are not enough social distancing due to many reasons compared to my experience on last travel.
Community
Especially the social behaviour are not good enough within the kids when they scheduled on school. But in the town and people around are used to aware enough now is a good sign way to positive mind.

As I m not a food lover or hanging restaurant or pub normally, I have no idea how is actually look like the situation now and no comments for those kind of place. But my personally views will be likely to prefer keep social distancing and wearing mask is extremely recommend whatever you are around in the town.
