I like the fact that overall my area has good transport links which help me get to work quicker, and that there is alot for children to do and it feels safe. There are lots of green spaces to walk your dog and its very common to own pets in my area. However, I do feel as though the atmosphere is quite ambiguous as a range of people live in my area such as students and professionals, yet it seems as though it only really caters for families. Therefore I think it's in need of regeneration.
Transport
The transport links in my area are fantastic! There are several trains that run from Surrey Quays and also Canada Water tube station is only a short walk away, which is good for convections into central London. The range of buses in my area is good too but can be unreliable at rush hour, and especially now during Covid as they only allow a certain amount of people on them at one time. I would like to see more cycle lanes and the popular santander bikes closer to my home, as the nearest ones are at London Bridge and yet the bikes are all over London but south east London has been left out.

It is mainly families that rent their homes that live on my street or empty nesters. There are not alot of students on my street and it is very quiet of a night, minus the trains. Its also very easy to find a parking spot on my street, which has been so useful when guests have visited, especially since London is known for minimal parking
Amenities
There are a range of amenities in my area ranging from the train and tube station to a few big supermarkets such as Tesco and Lidl. There are also lots of green areas around and Southwark Park which is huge! There's many things for children to do as there is a Discovery Planet, cinema and bowling alley around the corner. However, Surrey Quays Shopping Centre is quite small and could do with a few more shops as the choice is quite limited and its the only shopping centre in my area. Also, my area is lacking on bars and more upmarket restaurants which I hope could be improved.

The transport links in the area are one of the best things about living here. I am close to a tube, train and overground line so getting into and around London is a breeze wherever I go.

I would ideally like a place with a bigger garden, but living so close to the City, there is a lack of space in even the biggest homes.
Amenities
I've lived in and around this area my whole life so I have seen a great deal of regeneration in my time. Millwall isn't without its problems, but there is a lot in this area that makes it an enjoyable place to live. Deptford being so close is also a great place to visit. Now, having started a family here, there are a number of schools with good to outstanding rates from Ofsted.

New cross is only connected to the rest of London via overground and bus. Overground seems not enough and too slow. There are different buses that take you almost everywhere but the underground will be better.

My area is residential very quiet and peaceful, personally, I am a student and this is very appreciated. We have different supermarkets for shopping what it makes me afford some money from month to month. There is no underground and transportation from here take ages, so I am using an electric scooter which gets me to the centre within 30 min.
Amenities
My area has a big park and a variety of different supermarkets but nothing remarkable. Most of the shops around are old businesses no quality services.
