Overview of Palace & Hurlingham

My experiences so far living here in Fulham has been phenomenal! The very first thing that struck me was every warming welcome from those who have been here for some time. I cannot remember a time when I was not greeted with a smile by someone here. I also love how including the entire city is of all people! It certainly will make anyone else feel like they are at home. Overall it's a pretty family friendly and good healthy living.

Transport

I am lucky to work and live in the same area so my commute is within walking distance every day. It is more convenient to me to take the bus to go to other parts of London rather than walking to the station, which takes over 20 minutes (I´m located in between Hammersmith and Putney Bridge). I have had no issues with reliability of transport at night, I think it all works pretty well.

Community

I have lived in my street for a little over a year now and so far I love it compared to where I lived before. My neighbors have been very welcoming since the beginning and I have a feeling that have lived here for a while now as they all know each other. I have heard that parking is hard, luckily I don't have this problem but I do see a lot of traffic congestion on the main road Fulham Palace. Lately we have been having some issues with petty thefts, mainly people stealing packages.

Amenities

Absolutely love the area. So many fun activities to do in Fulham like going to Bishops Park, Moat Gardens, and the Hurlingham Club. I feel like there is a good amount of local shops for everyone and can identify that lots of restaurants and shops are starting to grow more and more. Lots of healthy activities everyone can do like yoga classes, running next to the river, and rowing classes. Not a big deal but I miss having more banks in my area.

It’s a a decent area but lacks abit of vibrancy. Can be boring and lack of life. I would say by 7pm it’s dead quiet which can be seen as a good and bad thing I guess.

Transport

Links in sw6 are great with Putney, parson green, Fulham road way to name just a few train stations. Traffic csn be really bad especially on Fulham place road. Evening rush hour I believe is one of the worse places. But TFL routes are really good.

Community

Good part is it’s quiet and a friendly Nieghbour hood. I believe it’s a mixture of owners and renters. Peaceful no anitsocal behaviour I see. Parking isn’t great as you need a permit and it’s quite expensive to pay for parking. Even if you do have a permit it’s also difficult to find parking spaces.

Amenities

sw6 has a wide range of bars and restaurants. They also have a few good parks. I think it lacks variety and the different type of bars on offer. Not much roof top or open spaces available I n comparison to somewhere the East London. I think most popular places would be Blue Bird. I think it’s because of the service and high standards of the place.
