Firstly, this South London neighbourhood is home to a bold creative scene. But in addition, it also has an abundance of independent businesses and a sprawling parkland. You don’t have to wander far to find the area’s old railway arches, which house everything from breweries and bars to bakeries and art galleries. The main Peckham Rye Overground station also keeps you well-connected to central London, making commuting hassle-free.

Peckham had two local stations, Peckham Rye and Queens Road, are both on the Overground with trains to Shoreditch High Street. Peckham Rye also has trains to Victoria in 13 minutes and 14-minute services to both Blackfriars and London Bridge. Queens Road services to London Bridge take 10 minutes.

I have a dog myself and I walk him everyday in teh evening. I have had very good interactions with people during the walks including children. There are shopping areas nearby and teh neighborhood seems friendly so far. I am in love with the place so far especially with the availability of schools for children. My litte one is reaching school age and I am looking forward to that very soon.

There is a national rail connection nearby and public transpostation (bus) is very well connected. I have not had any issues with accessing public transport so far even at night.
Community
There is a mox of people living here in terms of residents. There is a fair population of renters which is common due to teh availability of jobs here. This also means one has a good opportunity to rent out properties here.

There is a good mix of the kinds of shops, restaurant and open spaces. I am quite content with the amenities in this area.

If you like to keep to yourself but still want to access what london has to offer peckham is a good place to live
Transport
The transport links are strong, as a bus can take you to either queens road station or peckham rye station, as well as there being numerous busses passing through the area. However, because it acts as a place for so many busses and cars to pass there are usually high volumes of traffic, and with the recent road works happening this has only gotten worse.

The area I specifically live in has a nice grass area with plants which makes a nice view when leaving my house.

Peckham is an ideal location for amenities, especially where I live. Without even taking a bus I can go to morrisons and other major supermarkets like poundland in 5-10 minutes. Taking a bus or walking abit further takes me to peckham high street, where an abundance of these shops are availible. There is a corner store and pub literally a minute from my house which is always useful, nothing is ever too far away.
