I would say this area is very safe to live in. I love the fact that everything is walking distance from here. We have a few parks, shops, eateries and local supermarkets.
Transport
We have three train stations that are local to us, many bus routes too. I would say 32 years of living here and I’ve never had a problem going from one destination to another using public transport. We also have a couple of local taxi firms if more comfortable travelling in cars. I would say public transport is highly reliable. Ofcourse there have been delays some days but employees are very helpful.
Community
My street has both home owners and renters. We have a mixture of families and couples living here. Very quite where I live and away from traffic. We are able to rent out parking spaces but sadly the cost of visitors parking is very expensive and very hard to get hold of parking round here.
Amenities
Bethnal Green has a variety of popular supermarkets such as Tesco, Iceland and Sainsbury. The area also has a good variety of independent grocery stores and corner shops as well as a market selling variety of things from fruit and veg, to home goods to clothing. It also has a range of ethnic shops selling Asian attires, cafes selling delicious breakfast and lunches, fried chicken shops and a couple of pubs that have been there for a very long period of time. Short walking distance is popular spitalfield market and shoreditch, which again has a variety of cafes and eateries. Overall, this area is a delight and safe place to live in with everything available at walking distance. I would say the area has everything that is needed (minus a shopping centre lol). It has a train station and many buses going through the area. Love it.

I love that it’s quite and peaceful. Perfect area for kids as there’s a few local parks. Also a lovely area to live in as there are plenty of shops and eateries available.
Transport
Biggest downside is closure of most of the roads which took place recently and the roads that are available have restricted timings on when you can access those road. Ofcourse, for those that cycle or use foot no problem but the area is in the city and the road closures have caused nothing but traffic and distress. On the plus point, public transport is readily available with different bus routes, train stations an seven loca cab offices.

Nice friendly neighbours both family and couple living in the neighbourhood. Friendly and like one big family. No traffic noise from where I live.

Great range of shops- different range of supermarkets- Asian groceries, couple of local restaurants and some within walking distance. Good amount of cafes and restaurants five minutes drive away. Overall, a great area with variety of shops and restaurants.

2 major train stations, one 5 min walk away (Whitechapel) and the other 10min walk away (Bethnal Green). Both are not clean but are reliable with train timings.

Lots of parking, dependable bin collection, little bit of anti-social behaviour but not a big deal, little traffic noise, people living on my street are mostly families
Amenities
Range and quality of local shops: gigantic Sainsbury 5min walking away with all groceries, pharmacy, etc inside. Range and quality of local restaurants: Nandos is very good for eat-in dining 10min walking going south, and some decent restaurants (South American, British, etc) 15min walking away going north.
