With a central London location, great shops and lively nightlife, it’s an ideal place for anyone looking to experience the London lifestyle to the full. But, there are also some negative aspects of Chelsea like properties prices and costs of living are bit too high.
Transport
Chelsea doesn’t actually have its own tube station, but it is very well connected to the London Underground by nearby stations. The two most convenient stations for Chelsea are Sloane Square (served by the Circle and District lines) and South Kensington (served by the Circle, Piccadilly and District lines). You can hop on a Circle Line tube from Sloane Square and travel around 8 minutes to explore the world famous Portobello Road Market

Parking in Chelsea is not easy however there are no uncontrolled areas in the borough and we do not issue visitor vouchers. Outside of controlled parking hours anyone can park for free in: any resident permit bay. pay-by-phone parking bays. My street is mainly owners, singles or families.

The fashionable area of Chelsea is famous for its boutique shops and river views but it also has a culinary scene of the highest quality. Restaurants in Chelsea attract all sorts of celebrities, with the famous King’s Road a famous mecca for both shopping and dining. My fav restaurant is Kahani
Park Walk, SW10 0AJgood vibes and atmosphere
There is a wonderful Thai restaurant on my street called Suksan, we go there to eat as a family maybe twice a month, very refined and excellent cuisine. There’s also a nice bar at the end of the street with good vibes and atmosphere. Can get busy on a Saturday night.
Transport
One of the closet bus stops for me is probably Fulham road, Beaumont street. I usually catch the 211 to work so very convenient. We’ve got South Kensington underground station near by too.
Community
The street where I live is absolutely splendid, Not too much noise, very family oriented. There’s a few shops so can get nosy at times but generally very nicely kept.
Amenities
We have a lot of restaurants close to where I currently live. These can range from Subways, pizza express, Nando’s. I think Gails is a very popular place, quite pricey but amazing quality in food. There is definitely a great atmosphere in there everyday.

The atmosphere feels more upmarket than trendy which is probably why there are not many university students. I mostly like how close shops and restaurants are however I do wish the underground was closer to my house. The area is also safe which makes it very suitable for families.

The closest underground station is South Kensington which is a 15 minute walk away. This is a bit further than most would like however the amount of buses makes up for it. Rush hour is always a problem when trying to go to work for 9am and leaving at 5pm

There is sufficient parking available if you only have one car however if you and your spouse both own a car then you may have trouble finding parking close to your house. There is rarely any noise from traffic but there is always the odd loud motorcycle. Neighbours would tend to be family renters
Amenities
As it is in Chelsea I would say the quality of shops are relatively high. Places such as Villa Mamas are quite popular and I go there at least once every two months. If I want a fast food restaurant then Mcdonalds is quite close. The only thing that is missing that is walking distance is a really nice park.
