Stockwell, SW4 6SUWhat I like about Stockwell is it only takes 10 minutes by bike to visit the Major attractions like the Big Ben.
Its suitable for children and pets. This is a major city hotspot so it's great for going to tourist attractions

Good cycle routes. It has easy cycle routes to main London spots like Oval, Clapham, Brixton and Vauxhall which are all 5 minutes and Kennington, Battersea Park, Victoria and Waterloo which are approximately 10 minutes away and London Bridge, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and most places in Central London being 20 minutes away. Another great thing about Stockwell is it hosts the Victoria Line with having fewer stops and extremely fast speeds this makes the Victoria Line the fastest line. It also hosts the Northern line which like Victoria Line is 24 hours open on the weekend. The Northern line also has 2 new stations being built; Battersea Power Station and Nine Elms station which is scheduled to be completed in Autumn 2021. Stockwell also has 24 hour bus routes. It's such an accessible place.

The good aspects of living on this street is being in central London, great access to other parts of London, amazing transport links, 24 hours buses, 24 hour London underground service on weekends, quite good cycle lanes, to Vauxhall, Oval, Kennington, Victoria, Elephant and Castle and London Bridge, close to Brixton, just a 5 minute bike ride to zone 1. They aren't any bad aspects to be honest. But this is a major city hotspot.

There's a 24 hour convenience store by the station. It's quite pricey compared to a supermarket but it's very convenient. We also have lidl which is great for a cheap bargain. Being in Stockwell is great because there are bicycle lanes here that go to London Bridge in 20 minutes, Waterloo in 15 minutes, Victoria in 10 minutes, and Vauxhall in 5 minutes This is great because Vauxhall is Zone 1 and famous for the MI5 Building that James Bond works in. Stockwell has a host of Portuguese and Brazilian cafes. 2 gyms. The Gym Group and Pure Gym. It also has a park called Larkhall Park which is decent and Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens which is 5 mins away by bike. What I like about Stockwell is it only takes 10 minutes by bike to visit the Major attractions like the Big Ben. Another great thing about Stockwell is your right in the centre of London and have access to all the bridges. Stockwell is Central London but bridges the gap to the Mighty South. In 5 minute bike ride you can be in the famous Brixton famous for it's elelectic Music and Afro Caribbean culture. Legends David Bowie was born here and Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix frequented here. In all Stockwell is a gateway to many and has two 24 hour underground lines making one of the best accessible places to live

I live in a secondary street, however I think the cars in the main street circulate a bit too fast.

A new tube station: nine elms is been built, it was supposed to be finished by 2020, however due to COVID, it might not be functional until mid 2021 or even later. It is also very close to Vauxhall station that has very good bus, tube and train connections.
Community
Great things about the neighbourhood where I live is that is a secondary street, therefore there is not that much noise due to traffic (buses), so overall very quiet. There are plenty of small shops, mostly family run shop - if you need the like of tesco or sainsburies - they are not far away either. There are families with one kid, and couples, I haven't met a lot of single people in the area.

The things I love the most of living in Nine Elms/Vauxhall is the transport, shops and supermarkets in the area. What I dislike is that sometimes the street are a bit dirty, so I truly believe that our council can do a better job at cleaning the street and keeping them cleaned.

Transport links are great though the buses are always busy in the morning and you have to wait for a few, sometimes they don't open the doors. Could be better in that sense. A lot of noise from traffic on Wandsworth road which is a very negative side.

A lot of traffic noise, kids playing outside all the time without adult supervision, not very good behaviour on my block.
Amenities
There are a lot of shops around which is quite good, not that many bars around Wandsworth Road Station but Clapham isn't that far.
