My street is pretty downmarket, on the other hand the redevelopment of houses by private landlords has improved the appearance of buildings. There are plenty schools and nurseries for children and a small park for exercise, including playing football on Saturdays and dog owners wil welcome this green space.
Transport
The neighbourhood contains the North Circular and Harrow Roads, so is easy access for cars. The 18 bus runs to Euston and the 332 to Paddington and the Neasden tube station is on the Jubilee Line.
Community
Parking can be difficult, particularly during school run hours, bin collection is good but their is a fair amount of fly-tipping. In the last year there has been a fatal shooting, prostitution, drug dealing, cannabis cultivation. Terraced houses are being bought up as they become available and converted into studios let to tenants on housing benefit. There is no local student population and in recent years mostly people living alone have oved in.

My street boasts two nurseries, a primary school, and across the local park with a handy outdoor exercise area another primary school and a Hindu faith school. The big local landmark, the beautifully ornate BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu temple. If you meet visitors they will either be looking for directions to this or IKEA, which is alongside a Tesco superstore. There are good bus connections to central London and Neasden tube station is on the Jubilee Line. The neighbourhood consists of former railway company houses with no pubs though a former roadhouse on the North Circular Road has a 24 hour McDonalds. Sadly violent crime is a problem with a fatal shooting at one end of my street and a cannabis farm being raided at the other end of the street.
Hilltop Ave, NW10 8RYit’s a great community
There are so many local shops for food, variety of vegetables, fish, meat etc.
Transport
Good public transport links into Central London and overland rail to Euston. The underground station also served o. The jubilee line which means a trip to central London is on the card in less than 15 min
Community
The good aspects are the restaurants and bars there is also a cinema called Lexi cinema It's staffed by local volunteers, sells great wine, and has one of the most eclectic programmes of any cinema in London! In the summer, they also do outdoor cinema in the local parks.
Amenities
You can see the changes happening around you. The council now has £4 million, which are being spent on upgrading the public realm on Station Road and the centre of Harlesden,following consultation and work with local residents. And there are more and more local activities, and fun stuff going on. All good.

NW10 is not a great area to live in. It's quite derelict and there is no sense of community. It's a very gloomy and dangerous area. I guess the Tenpin bowling arcade is really nice but apart from that, there's nothing good.
Transport
The motorways are not too safe for cyclists and there is often a lot of traffic at rush hour but there's quite a few train stations which is good.
Community
Obviously there's lots of traffic noise especially near the Ikea superstore but parking is plentiful. One thing to note is that the motorway is very dangerous and there are car accidents very often.

NW10 is very close to the motorways like the North Circular and the Hanger Lane roundabout, so there's not too many amenities apart from the large Tesco superstore and Costa drive-thru but the Park Royale tenpin bowling alley is really cool.
