My perspective of the area i grew up in, and continue to grow in

In recent times i feel like the area has gotten better in some places and worse in others, for example, Brecknock Road isn't what i remember it used to be, over time its seems as though the area has gotten more and more neglected but in other areas it has gotten better with the main reason being the anti social behaviour has gone down substantially. Another complaint is the lack of park of exercise areas available locally. I wouldve liked there to be a track locally that i could exercise on or just more open areas in general.

Transport

Transport is very readily available. At all times you are no further than 2 minute walk away from a bus stop, and you have Kentish Town Station and Tufnell Park Station close by as your link to the underground, with both stations only being a couple or a few stops away from Kings Cross and Euston Station. Both stations run on the Northern Line, which, in my opinion, is the most convenient line.

Community

Parking availability is very good if you want yo park on the road. You will of course need to have a permit to park and parking is free on weekends and free after 6pm on weekdays. Times at which you will most definitely find a free spot close to your destination. Anti-social behaviour on a positive note has improved immensely in recent times. It wasnt extremely bad, but never the less has improved vastly. In terms of traffic noise, you have nothing to worry about, roads are quiet during the day and the only main road, Brecknock Road, isn't even really a main road and rarely gets busy, unless there are road works somewhere up the line, in which case it can get pretty clogged up. At night, it is nice and quiet and peaceful, and you don't have to worry about any shadey characters hanging around as its isnt common around here and everyone is generally very friendly. Tenants around here in the estate I live in are mostly renters, however, majority of the houses in the area are quite big and lustrous and I would expect those to be home owners.

Amenities

Its fair to say the area is very good when it comes to having amenities available within a short distance from your home. You wont have to walk more than 3 minutes to get to your local shop, where in which youll find all your essential needs such as toilet tissue, milk, nappies etc. (which is a blessing considering the current situation of the UK lockdown). The the most local area where you'll find more diverse shops including health shops, pharmacy, local bakery, a few restaurants would at the upper end of Brecknock Road, near Camden Road, all of which would be a maximum of 8-10 minutes away by walking (3 minutes from my home) and there youll find a much bigger selection and more tha likely to fulfill whatever desire you're feeling. A bit of a longer distance away (no more than 20 minutes away) youll find Kentish Town. Where in which youll find Kentish Town Station, Barclays and Lloyds bank, and many local stores of supermarket giants for example, Sainsburys, Co-Op, Tesco and more, Boots and Superdrug, the Post Office (Post Office available also on Brecknock Road) and many restaurants to eat in or take away and many stores where in which you can pretty much get what you need or desire. In terms of whats missing, is having more open space more readily available. The closest local park to excercise in is Cantelows Park which in my opinion is not very good and is located on a Camden Road, which isnt very discreet for those suffering from insecurities and would much rather exercise in a park more discreet.

Excellent vegetarian and vegan food access, the best chip shop and transport links, the best place to return to after a great night out in London

I love the 24hr friendly nisa nearby full of vegan food supplies, an excellent curry house and the best chip shop in London, a hair dressers, a post office and a short walk into camden town, as well as excellent transport links into the rest of London should you need it

Transport

Transport here is excellent, with direct buses and underground links to central london, frequent services and lovely stations. Also access to overground services via camden road, making any commute around London easily navigated

Community

Parking here is seeming always available, daily bin and recycling collection for those living above businesses, a very nice social bustling street and traffic noise isn’t severe other than the odd ambulance for those with single glazed windows! We are partners also students neighbouring with another pair of partners

Amenities

Excellent shops, restaurants and bars in walking distance, from authentic Italian supermarkets to 24hr Nisa, live music and star quality bakeries. The location is excellent for anyone who enjoys being out and about! Within walking distance of Kentish town and Camden town, markets, coffee shops and bars are always at your disposal.
