Overview of Victoria

It feels like its own small town - Victoria Park Village reminds me a bit of the town from Gilmore Girls, Star Hollows :) Most of the coffee shops, convinient stores and restaurants are still independent rather than massive chains which is good, with the ocassional Gail's and Londis.

Transport

Great bus connections but far from train stations; Homerton is 15+min walk, Hackney Central is a 20+ min walk, as is Bethanal Green. Good cycling links though

Community

Very safe and quite, mainly families. I would say it is an equal divide between home owners and renters, there is also a school on the street, it hasnt been noisy so far but we are in a pandemic and im not sure it has even been open

Amenities

The part where I live in E9 is right by Victoria Park - Victoria Park village is very cute and cosy, with some great restaurants, coffee shops, and little independent boutiques. Victoria Park is a lovely park and is separated into two larger parks, both of which are beautiful, and there is a great food market. The only annoying thing is that there arent many shops around open later at night as Londis shuts early and the closest Sainsburys is 15 mins away

Transport

Everything is very convenient and not more than 15’ walking. With closest London Fields station only 5 min away. There are also numerous day and night busses going in various directions.

Community

The street is residential with block of flats mostly occupied by young professionals. Majority is renting but there are few owners here for sure. The street is leafy and off the main road with some parking space available. There is also newly opened nursery.

Amenities

Broadway market - one of the best hang out spots is blink of an eye away. As well as London Fields and Victoria Park. The area is very diverse yet homey and full of greenery. We have the best selection of bars, restaurants and supermarkets in East as well as major transport links to the city and west end.
